I've done it a few times. I'd have to check the truck to be sure, but basically you take out the window, drop the midgate, then put the window back.

I'm not sure you even need to take the window out the first time.

I've had occasions where I've left 4'x8' sheets in the truck overnight with that setup.

Just drop the midgate, no need to take out the back window.  The support bar will stay in place for the window.

Some kind of a gismo that would put the window up inside the cabin as opposed to down.

Guys, Ive got an idea.. a power window that can stay in with the mid gate down.  Use the same concept they have now with the piece that comes off the mid gate, but you could roll the window down with the mid gate up, or flip the switch and the and the window and bottom the supports it stay up, but the mid gate itself folds down.  (I hope thats not too redundant).  all you would need is the electrical connections that control the window like we have on the mid gate now for the defogger

I like the ability to take out the midgate  window and clean it.... A lot easier than having to hop on the cover and slither my way up to the glass just to clean it. Imo it would be a pain to run to the front of the just to roll down the window and then have to back to the back just to pop down the tail gate, but i never drive with mine open unless i have the full midgate gate down...

I take my window out every time I wash the truck.
I find it's the easiest way to clean it really well.
I also take it out to add or remove decals.
Pretty handy!

Electric Midgate Windows belong in EXT's  (aka...trucks never used as trucks.)  Big laughter with tears

I like being able to keep my window in when I lower the midgate for when I need extra cargo space.

If I had a house like that one, I wouldn't worry about a disappearing door.  My "People" would be there to open it for me. Thumbs up!

I agree. I would also like to see a rain sensor for the sunroof. Or an auto close when you hit the lock on the remote. I forgot once and once was enough.
