Come on Arizona, how about a 2nd annual GTG?        Edit:  How about December 12th?

Kim and I, along with our friends Joe and Marilyn, will be coming to the Pheonix area late 12-11-08 and heading back to Vegas on 12-14-08.  We just bought tickets for the game in 'section 105, row M' for 12-13-08, game time 7:00pm.  Check here if you want to join us at the game
http://www.ticketsnow.com/InventoryBrowse/TicketList.aspx?PID=682150    We did better finding tickets here than on the Coyotes website.

We will also be planning another outting of skeet shooting so if you are interested in blasting a 100 rounds or so of clay pidgeons you are more than welcome to join us.  Ghostwheel showed us up last year, as I watched ever target thrown for him break on impact....either from the impact of the shotgun pellets or with the impact on the ground.

Also, we will be looking into dinner, and if I lose the negotiating we may also end up dancing somewhere.  Shocked

Who is going to join us?  We are looking forward to seeing all of you again.

Michael

We might be up for the game, dinner for sure, dancing probably not for us.

Thanks for the link and giving us plenty of notice to reserve the day.

It will be great to hook up with you guys again.

p.s. I can probably speak for eric to say that he would be interested in going shoot too.

Lookig forward to this trip.  I beleive I am driving the AV this year, instead of my friends low budget Escalanche.  I will be looking into possible dinner plans for after the game and probably skeet shooting on maybe Friday late morning or possible Saturday morning.  My friend, Joe, needs to check his dad's schedule and see when we are meeting up with him as well.  I will post up with further when I get it.

Probably this place again for shooting.

It doesn't look like we will be able to make the hockey game. We are still both up for dinner and probably just Eric for the shooting. 23 days left.

OK,  We are planning on going skeet shooting Friday, 12-12-08, at about noon or so.  They are open until 3:00 pm so this should be enough time.  Last year we shot 125 rounds on the sporting clays course, I think we were ready to be done after 75 rounds so 3 hours should be plenty.
http://www.azgfd.gov/ctc2/hours.html

Also, we would like to meet up for dinner Friday night if anyone is available for a GTG.  Our schedule will be flexible and we can meet anyplace reasonable in the area.  We are staying at the Ramada on West Grand Avenue in Peoria but we can drive anywhere towards Pheonix to meet up.  Probably anytime around 6:00pm or later will work.

Who is available and what kind of restaurant ideas do you have in mind?

I will forgive you for missing the game.  I would not want to pay to see my team lose either.     Actually, I can honestly say I have not watched a game in about 3 weeks and I have not looked at stats so I don't know who is good or who is lousy.  Roll Eyes

Eric is more than welcome to join us again for shooting, but Donna, you can join us too.  Don't be shy.  chevy

Detroit RedWings believe they are lucky to be 12-2 -3 and not playing up thier standards.

Wings have been involved in four fights this season, Darren McCarty has four fights

We will see who loses.

I forgot it was a friday. He may not be able to get out of work for shooting. So maybe it will be just dinner. Location of dinner will depend on who is coming. We try to make it more centralized for the people who are interested. So, lets get a list going for who wants to do dinner friday night.

Let me know if Eric can make Friday or if we need to try and juggle shooting to Saturday.  But we will try to keep Dinner for Friday night, if possible.

Eric cannot do shooting friday due to work. He said he sent you a pm too. I believe the monthly meeting is saturday but asked Eric to clarify the details and time so we can start confirming who will be going to the meeting. I will pm you are cell numbers.

Dinner is still on for friday. Is anybody else going besides us?

We are open for whatever dinner plans you make for Friday evening.  We can drive a bit if it will help, we are staying in Peoria, so Phoenix is doable.  There will be 4 in our group.

The only other plans we have definate is the hockey game.  We are probably shooting Friday, but Saturday is still in the air and we could go again.

I sent a PM with our cell #'s.

I got the pm. Thanks.

We always try to keep locations centralized to most people going. But so far nobody else has posted up that they are going yet. If that is the case, we might as well keep a west side location.

I try to see if Eric can check to see what new resturants opened on the northwest corner of northern and loop 101. There is a BJ's there but they were opening up a few more places since it is fairly new.

Thank you Donna.  If it is just us, whatever nice restaurant you want to meet at will work for us.  Kim is always happy with steak, but anything will work.

I suppose the hotel will have a computer available but I don't know when I will be able to check in.  If you or Eric can give me a call anytime tomorrow (after I sleep in a bit) and let me know what we decided on we will plan our evening accordingly.

Thanks again,
Michael

The irish place ended up not being open yet. They are still waiting on a liqour license. So we had a nice dinner at BJ's, walked around the shops in the area and sat outside talking for a while.  it was good to see Mike, Kim, Joe and Marylin (sp?, sorry) again.

Now, GO COYOTES for todays hockey game.  Thumbs up!

Have a safe drive back tomorrow guys and we will look forward to the same time next year.

Thanks to Donna and Eric for the great evening.  We all had fun and enjoyed the company.

As for the game, it was very close with regulation ending in a 4-4 tie.  The Coyotes had a chance though in the last couple minutes to win the game.  Detroit pulled their goalie to get the extra attacker and the Coyotes had 2 or 3 chances shooting the puck at at empty net .... but they missed!  Shocked  One wide left and one wide right, and each time I was wondering why their player did not take a couple more strides to set up and make a well aimed shot, they had the room and the time but they hurried the shot and missed the net.  Detroit won the game in the shootout.    I suppose they did it for the very large amount of Red Wings fans in the seats.  Probably better than 1/3 of the fans wore Red Wings attire, and maybe pretty close to 50%.   love  We love our team.  love  love  love

I will post a few pictures tomorrow.

Glad we were able to still do dinner.  We can always hope they win same time next year. Maybe next year we can try the restaurant that we originally we going to eat at if it open still.
