This didn't take long-ASC can turn your new Camaro into a Trans AM, I'm sure others will make different versions.

I agree.  But to each his own.  There are lots of images on the net of TA mock ups, some are really nice.   That is not one I would want to see on the roads daily. But thats just me.

On the bright side.  It looks like the after market companies will have there hands full filling the demand for modifications. Thumbs up!

Big laughter with tears
Same thing happened to me, clicked the link with a mental picture of that 78-79 styled one that made the rounds awhile back.

I agree with Tango though, it's a sign that the aftermarket is taking interest-which is a good thing. (even if that particular abomination isn't)

I always thought the big bird on the T/A hood looked tacky but it's cool that Pontiac fans will be able to mod thier Camaro into a Firebird. There was a certain model Formula Firebird I always liked better. Closest I can find is this one, a Camaro do over in this nature wouldn't be bad.

I swapped colors again, but for the last time. Locked in my order of Red Jewel Tintcoat (very similar to the AV's Sport Red Metallic).

Latest info I have suggests I should have it in August.  Thumbs up!

Can't wait!

Following a recent report that GM’s plans for a high-performance Camaro Z28 had been canceled and the Camaro Convertible was on hold, comes a little good news but also some bad. The good news is that the Convertible is back on track for a March 2011 launch, while the bad news – you guessed it – is that the Z28 is looking less and less likely to ever come to fruition.

Companies like SLP will fill the void if the Z never makes production.  Heck, I'll start one up for it Smiley

Hennessy, Racecraft, Lingenfelter and countless others are already selling their versions of the Camaro. A "DD" Z28 isn't really that farfetched.

IMO, the Camaro looks much better topless-most cars don't.

That would certainly keep the lawsuits to a minimum.

...say, one of the automotive journalist types reporting on his Camaro test drive indicated that, being six feet tall he found the interior a bit cramped. Have you, J or anyone else who is a bit taller than that spent any time in the drivers seat of one?
Just curious.

That looks so much like the '76 Limited Edition I had that I had to do a double take. Best car I ever owned until it started rusting. Saw it 3 years after I sold it and the doors and rear quarter panels were disgusting.

Wonder how much a conversion like that would cost. What's the Mega Millions jackpot at?  Cry

I'm not 6' tall.  Wide, maybe.  Tall, no.

Hopefully in a few weeks if shipping goes smoothly!

The Camaro is Yellow 2SS/L99 Black leather interior. L99 is 6speed Auto w/Paddle shifters

Called the Paint shop all ready. same place that did my flames on the AV.
But want Bumble Ghost stripes on the Camaro.

And with in the next year Going FI. Cool!
