Mi Tierra is some of the best mexican food you will ever find and their margaritas can't be beat either. Dick's last resort was an old college hangout of mine as well. You guys will have a great time. I'm hoping to make it for at least one day, but probably will stay in galveston the whole time visiting family.

Is the haunted railroad crossing the one where the busload of kids got killed and your vehicle is supposedly pushed over the tracks?

Yes, that is the place.  We had a GTG that included it one time, I think we took 7 AVs over the tracks... It was WAY cool and it really works!

Heard of some people putting talcum powder on the back of vehicles and getting fingerprints from ghosts.

Hours on Monday are 9-6pm.  So leaving from our Host Hotel, 8:15 gather and 8:30 departure.  Thank you for the question  Thumbs up!

So coming in from Houston, you could meet us there around 9am, depending on traffic, your way and ours  chevy
OR depending on what time you get in town, you may want to drop your things off first  Cool!

What night are we going to Chuy's??

I don't think working this in will be a problem.  I happen to know of 2 locations, both very close to my house  love
It does not seem that there is a location on the river though.  So with that said, I would say, any day except Thursday would work.

 Cool!

Haunted Crossing

Not really sure about Sea World or Fiesta Texas

Was thinking about going to Fredricksburg to the War Museum, but haven't decided.

As I was looking that the schedule of events, many of the canceled events are on the same day.  We want everyone to see and do things that are of interest to them.  Please, if there is something you want to see or do, let us know  Cool!

Here is more haunted stuff in San Antonio, if some are interested:

All I am particularly interested in is the river walk, possibly the Alamo on Thursday.  Whatever I feel like on Friday and the show/shine on Saturday.

Cannot tell, that would not be a surprise  chevy

I did just confirm that 'surprise'  and it looks like a go!  (Doug, if you read this... I think we will keep this between you and I  Thumbs up! )

Show and Shine should be a wonderful time this year here at Nationals 09... for us to  do what we do best, show off our AVs and meet other vehicle enthusiasts!

Question about the show and shine.  Where are we going to wash and clean our AVs?  Is there a car wash near by or is the dealership going to be gracious enough to let us use their water hoses?  Or can we run up your water bill Melissa at your house? Big laughter with tears

The only event I would be able to make would be the show and shine, but I can't see registering just for one event.  Maybe next year!  Have fun!

I am in Austin if anyone wants to check out the night life!

A couple of pieces of good news. The weather forecast is for below normal temperatures and San Antonio is still one of the 10 cheapest gasoline price cities in the nation.

Let me find out.  Car washes we can do, washing cars at my house we cannot.  We are in water restrictions and can only water/wash cars on Fridays before 8am and between 8 and 10pm... sucks!
