Ok the Holidays are over things are winding down, time to relax and enjoy friendships new and old with the Avalanche Family.

Intimidatoruag will be moving his nephew to Richmond, IN on the 24th of Jan and would like to meet up with a few of us for dinner.  He's thinking about 4 o'clock there at the Golden Corral.

     A few of us are going to meet at Cambridge City exit 137 on I70 at the Amish Cheese Shop 2001 SR 1 N,  at 11:30.   Amish cheese, fresh baked pies, breads and cookies. Gift packs and special orders available , get your goodies here!  Its one block off the exit follow the signs easy to find.   

Then we are cruising to the:

Warm Glow Candle Company at exit 145 on I70 you can see it from the interstate.  They have quite the assortment of Indiana made candles and some that aren't, lol.  Holiday decorations year round, flowers, pets accessories, just all kinds of goodies for the ladies and maybe even some for the guys!

Then we are cruising to the: 

Wayne County Historical Museum in Richmond approximately 1:30 its at 1150 N "A" St.  It boasts curiostities from around the world: authentic Egyptian mummy, Gaar-Scott Steam Engines, Starr-Gennett Jazz Collection, Davis Airplane, Wooten desk, pioneer life exhibits, the early automobile collection of Richmond-made cars and much more!   There are approximately 18 old cars on exhibit.  There is an admission to this museum, it is as follows:  5 bucks, 4.50 with AAA, 4 bucks for seniors, 2 bucks for students and under six free.
(I failed to mention the cars are all "Richmond Made Cars" I didn't realize that any cars were manufactured in Richmond so needless to say this  should be interesting, I have no idea what they are or what they are called)

Then we are cruising to the:

Golden Corral 3625 E Main for dinner with Intimidatoruag and his nephew for dinner at 4 pm!

BTW I asked John if he would need help in unloading or anything, at this time his nephew is only bringing his bedroom stuff, so they should be able to handle that, lol.

"glow n show" after dinner, it should be dark or close to it!  Bring your "glow" and  light er up!

ok ... I found out that the address we have is his place .... he will reserve the room for us but he REALLY REALLY wants to know who is coming .... so if we can let him know a total at least two weeks prior he might have a surprise for us (free dinner is not the surprise) .... and I also found out I'm a moron (big surprise, right? LOL!) ....

dinner for a family of 4 would run about $35 bucks ..... I heard him say only the $35 part and thought he was saying per person ....

and if you have never been to one .... be prepared for a #$#$% of food .... yes, a #$$#%# of food! ... many items for your salad,  many many types of entrees .... many types of desserts .... yummy!!!

and I'm not sure about his moving ... I think he is only taking his bedroom set but if you are comming from the east and want to stop in Toledo before heading to Richmond or if you are heading more to Columbus and over that is fine .... I'll check with him and see for sure .....

and I hope everyone had a merry christmas ... and has a happy new year! .....

The Golden Corral is great, we have ate there several times. I love the "Open Market" look, it looks like the produce section in a store. You can see them choose veggies from the store then chop and make the salads etc.....They have a better selection than most buffets and it's not the old bland food that you get at some places! The grill is always going and they cook up sandwiches and steaks for the buffet all through the day.

We had a Golden Corral here a few years ago - it's gone now (burned down) , but wow what a place!!  Wonderful food - not your typical food bar.  Hope you all enjoy
