Amsterdam members speak up.. (I've left the building)
«

My wife and I are going back to Spain for a week to assist chosen Spaniards to speak English. Yes, I know that sounds funny, 2 Alabamians teaching English.. So if you hear a Spaniard saying "Jeet yet" (Did you eat yet?) or "yawnto" (Do you want to?) you know you may have a redneck Spaniard.
After a week in Spain on this program, we are going to Amsterdam and would like some inside on places to go, places to eat, etc... maybe even a GTG?
BTW, if anyone wants to take a cheap trip to Spain and some information on the program we signed up for, drop me a PM or an email and I'll let you know about it.

I'm guessing you mean that the ball mount is stuck inside the receiver?
Your description is rather lacking.
If my guess is right, soak the receiver tube from both ends with something like PB Blaster or other penetrating lube, and hammer at the ball mount SIDEWAYS a bit, not foreward and aft, break the grip of the rust.

Hey Brian,
ask Roel:
http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php?action=profile;u=4934
or Wera:
http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php?action=profile;u=12429
They are both from the Netherlands and both drive really nice (black
) AVs
If you are going to visit the south of Germany: ask me

I'm awake but in Germany not in the Netherlands.
If you want see some more pics from the Amsterdam GTG go to my new site:
www.xlv750.de
Put your mouse pointer over the tab "Fotoalbum" then click on "2007". The first album is the Amsterdam GTG.
Hope you like it.

So how do you enjoy Amsterdam? And you are looking for amber? I hope you are there April 30th when the amber hell breaks loose on our queens day!
http://www.21stcenturyamsterdam.com/queens-day-amsterdam.html
You have to experience it. The streets full of people selling what they want to get rid of, the canals are full of boats.
Laughter, no aggression, just fun, fun, fun. It starts the night before with people who occupy 'trade'-spots for the next day and eventually ends halfway April 31 th.
As you see in the pictures everybody wears orange. Because that color is in the name of the queen: Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard van Oranje-Nassau.
You are right there are not many AV's over here. And in the center of Amsterdam it's quite impossible maneuver with them, let alone to find a place to park such a big car. So I think Wera and Johan are the only ones who dare to have one in Amsterdam.
I live more up to the North-East (182.5 KM to be precise), where there is (relatively) more space for an Avalanche. Enjoy your visit to Amsterdam and don't hesitate that when you go to Groningen to PM me! You'll discover that my Av has ambers....
Regards, Roel

I remember our last GTG there!!! It's really not easy to find a parking lot for an AV there.

My AV has ambers since 3 weeks although they are not legal in Germany. But you have to drive 640km to the southeast to see these ambers

absolutely LOVE Amsterdam. completely different world. How the traffic works over there without someone on bicycles getting hit is truly beyond me. If you drive a bicycle here in my home town, you better be ready to dive off the road since people do NOT pay attention to anything when they drive.
Queen's Day was CRAZY.. I don't do well when in crowds that big.
We ended up going to Kukenhof on Wednesday to the tulip festival. Next time we come over, I'll see that we go a little further north to say hey!
