Wow!

Thanks everybody for your prayers and thoughts. They don't go un-appreciated.

Thanks Joe, you're a good friend.

I was diagnosed with bladder cancer back in November. Biopsy said too far advanced for BCG therapy. It's coming out.

Got a second opinion from UCSD cancer center in San Diego. Same result.
I opted to go to UCSD for the surgery. They use the DaVinci robot to perform the majority of the surgery.
A fellow AVer works there and insisted I checked them out. Sure glad I did. Thanks Rob (DiegoRob).
Top cancer surgeons worked on me for 16 hours. It was only supposed to be 6 to 8 hours.
Found out the cancer was in my prostate too. What a mess. All because I smoked when I was a teenager.

The 8 to 10 day hospital stay turned into over three weeks. They almost lost me at week one, but I finally started responding.

No food or even water touched my lips for just over two weeks. That was tough. I lost about twenty pounds, but I needed to anyway.

I'm now at home with my family and slowly getting my appetite back. I still have hoses sticking out of me, but in a couple months I'll be back to somewhat normal, and in a while after that I'll be back like usual.

The cancer remained contained in my bladder and prostate, so no chemotherapy thank God.

Again, thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. I know they helped.
