So last year we had the Dyno Wars and all that participated had an experience of a lifetime.  This year we will host Dyno Wars II.  If you think you have what it takes to run with the big dawgs or if you just would like to know what real power you are running,  then this event is for you!

Date/Time: 24 Jul 09 @ 0900
Event Coordinator: JRAM and Loggie
Event Judges/Officials: Fuel Injection Specialties
Location from Hotel: 12.9 mi – about 21 mins MAP

I’ve been working closely with a local Dyno shop in San Antonio area called Fuel Injection Specialties.  Their shop is located only minutes away for the hotel.

We have negotiated a price of $50.00 per truck for two pulls.  Additional pulls will only cost $10.00.  You will receive a print out of the runs which will be used to judge the winner of each category.   We only need 10 trucks for this price.  But don’t worry; if we fall short the price is only $60.00 per truck.  They take major credit cards and or cash.

Optional - As an added bonus they can offer professional tuning prior to dyno day.  An O2 wideband bung will need to be welded onto your exhaust for tuning ($60 for parts and labor).  Tuning price varies if you are only going to do wide open throttle - all drivability is good, looking at about $300-$350 per vehicle - really depends on time spent.  So if this is something you would like to do then send me a PM and I’ll get you their contact information.   If you’re interested in this option, you’ll need to setup an appointment with them any time before the event.  Their number is 210.654.0774 and just let them know you’re with the AV National event.

Event Info

RULES - Based on experience and research at other similar events

Each competitor will get 2 runs with a few minutes between each run for any adjustments you want to make and a quick cool down.   The better of 2 runs is what will be used when comparing to the other competitors in your class. Like last year, both Horse Power and Torque numbers are taken into consideration for the judged runs. Judged runs will be made in 2nd gear; this is not negotiable.

Your two runs will be scheduled to take place at a certain time of day to allow pursuit of other activities. If however you are not at the event at your scheduled time, you forfeit your runs unless the event coordinator can reschedule them later in the day.

Trophies will be awarded in the following Classes:

Stock: Just what says.

Hot Stock: Tune, Cold Air Intake, Larger Throttle Body, Headers, Exhaust, Under Drive Pulley’s, Electric Fans, Basic Transmission Upgrades, Minor motor work (cam, valve train), etc…

Bottle+: Everything from Hot Stock plus Wet/Dry Nitrous

Boost Crazy: Everything from Hot Stock plus Turbo or Super Charged.

Torque King: Based on the AV producing the most torque from their combined run.

Big Dog: Overall winner.

Note: 1500 and 2500 AV’s will be judged in the same classes with the exception of Stock and Hot Stock.

If you would like to participate, post the following information:

Hey Loggie, you may want to change the date on there, because I don't think anyone is going to make it if its in 2 weeks. Just trying to help you out.

Horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.#7

This was in Texascwgrl's proposal.

Thanks!  Glad you think so... still hoping I did not bite off more than I can chew...LOL

Here is an email I just got from one of our local guys willing to help!

Allen Nelson at Nelson Performance said he is definitely interested in hosting a Dyno Day if we get nationals.  On a typical Dyno Day he can do 10 or so trucks.

 Thumbs up!

Is that the place your doing the Dyno War at?

Roll Eyes no, it's Fuel Injection Specialties (as stated above) Nelsons could not work us in their schedule.  However; they will tune your AV

Rob,

I hope things work out for me again this year. All I was doing while watching you guys run your trucks was kicking myself for not bringing my truck. So if I show up, this is number one priority. I would like to have me a place reserved just in case. If you need me to be more certain then I understand.

Alright Loggie, you can put me down in the Hot Stock class, but just as long as I'm one of the first ones to run, so I can get out of there and get to the offroading after it.
