If my guess is right, soak the receiver tube from both ends with something like PB Blaster or other penetrating lube, and hammer at the ball mount SIDEWAYS a bit, not foreward and aft, break the grip of the rust.

Drove from nashville, TN to Hot springs, AR last weekend and saw a TON of AVs, but no ambers. Arkansas is full of Avalanches.

My brother is in the Air Force and lives in San Antonio. I will be there soon to take the girls to Sea World. Might look you up.
