Sierra Vista Meeting/Mod GTG/Cruise to?

Could you make it for and overnight GTG/Modding marathon?

Could start as early as Thursday with some modding and have our meeting Fri or Sat?

With a cruise to:

Tombstone
DQ
Parts store......

This is one of many hotels in the area. This one is about 3 miles from my house.

I do have room in the house if you would like to stay with us. (air mattress, couch, etc...)

   I think that is a very cool idea.....however, it is hard to get club members to show up for Phoenix area meetings /gtg's. Getting somebody to commit to a whole weekend for mod/meeting would be miraculous. If you make this happen I am voting for you for president. And not just Arizona Avalanche president, United States president!

That sounds like a good idea. Maybe a saturday meeting with a pot luck bbq in the back yard. Something to still keep the cost down. Maybe some may want to AvPool together to save on gas cost. 

We can do a saturday day trip for sure (except on the first weekend). The 25th can work for us. I don't think we have anything going on that saturday. We may not be able to do an overnighter. Sundays are also out for us for a while. We started flyball training classes with one of our dogs on sundays.

I have the state cup soccer tournament all of April. So unless we get eliminated early I wont be able to make it.

The 11th should also work for us. Now we might be in NV the weekend of the 18/19. We are still not available for the 3/4th weekend.

I just got home from Vegas last night and I will look at the calendar for April 11. I have some mods I would like to do but my ongoing employment is unknown so I don't really have $$ for mods.....or travel.....or guns......or girls......wait, forget that last one.

We usually go to a family reunion camping trip that weekend up past payson. I will have to check to see what the plans are this year. Hopefully the weather will be better then last year. It snowed up at camp last year.

So the day is now memorial weekend? We are in for a day trip whatever weekend it is.... right now. Logan is starting basketball his games will be on Saturdays If it's early on that day we can make it.

We were gonna go camping this weekend, 4/4-4/5  but the news said its going to get really windy again, and cool off alot. So camping with the kids has been moved to next weekend 4/11-4/12, Have family coming out the following weekend, and the next weekend we're going up to Laughlin for the Laughlin River Run. Haven't been this busy in a long time.
I'll talk to Michael about camping on Memorial weekend.

  If anyone still wants to come to Sierra Vista the weekend of 4/11 & 4/12  we are still open... and have no plans.... so just letting everyone know that yes it is Easter weekend.. but We can still MOD on Easter..lol or go for a cruise or to Tombstone or whatever.. just let us know if you wanna come.    I'm flying into Tucson on Memorial Day!      So close, yet so far. 
I have relatives who live in Sierra Vista too, but they're coming up to Tucson to see us on Tuesday.  

My son will be attending the UofA next year as a freshman so we're coming out for orientation 25-30 May.  This will be a whirlwind tour of Tucson to see family and friends, mixed with two days of orientation, but I'll be back in August when school starts.  Road trip third week in Aug from MD to AZ in my son's car (not the AV).

So, who's all planning on going down south for this weekend.

We are shooting for at least a saturday day trip. We do not know about overnight to sunday yet. Our flyball practice moved from sunday afternoons to early sunday mornings due to the heat. We have been practicing on holidays still. Even practiced this morning with today being mother's day. Monday we were doing a family bbq in town. 

It has been a record for us to be in the month of May and not have been able to take a camping trip yet this year. But working with the dogs like we have has been worth every minute of it.

Watch for Mays GTG to be Phoenix. I am going on leave from the 18th to the 29th and Mom is flying in on the 19th. We are planning to go up north to go camping.
