I believe Donnie is organizing this GTG, but I thought I would go ahead and get a thread started to see if we could get the word out a little early.

The Car show/GTG is May 1-3, 2009. If anybody has any questions, Donnie should have an answer for ya, or you can go to http://www.magicdragonstreetmeet.com/.

Word is, there's a possibility of camping out - Which should be a good 'ol time! Of course, there are nearby hotels for those of you who are not big camping fans.

Lets get this thing organized!!!

drawing near.

Is there anyone still interested in this?

My family will probably just be going down for the day now due to schedules and such but if folks want to make this, we can meet up and see the car show for a while then do lunch or something. There are plenty of great places to eat down there at the lake. And there are also some great places to stay for those that want to make a weekend of it.

If you do plan on entering the show, I just read that the registratiojn i s$30 and the show hours are from 8 am -5 pm.

There will also be cruises on Fri night and Sat night.

Just let me know and we can plan some routes and a place to meet.

Apparently this year they are giving away a new Challenger. My brother in law had it for 3 days until they put it on display in teh grocery store dwon tehre. Of course I did not find thois out until AFTER it was on display.

I will start an attending list here:

Attending
Donnie1 (Sat only?)
Tanner (Sat)

Possibles
Moav
Tdybr
Richie Rich
BlueDevil

Not Possibles
Darren
Chevyfan
Main One

I also found out from my brother in law that if we want to park on the main strip by the dam we will need to register for the car show. Otherwise we may have to park further away and walk, not sure how far though. If you are in the car show, you can still leave at anytime. Also if we have people registered for the car show, I will get there early enough to save spots so we can park together. He said so far they have about 500 vehicles registered.

Depending on Gina's schedule, we may be staying either Fri night or Sat night or maybe both. More to come on that

Anyone got any updates?

I may now be a maybe, it turns out that may be the only weekend I will have to travel to Va to see my mom and dad and pick up my trailer. I was planning the last weekend of May for this but with me changing shifts the weekend of the 1st and Gina starting her new job, I will the get the most time for my trip that weekend without having to drive 13 hours just to be there a day and turn and come back.

I think I will just stop trying to plan anything, hell it seems everytime I do something comes up and I can't follow through.
