What GM Part # Do I need??
«

Looking to upgrade my stock bose system to a IN-Dash NAV system, and when I do a search there are a few different models out there. I have a 05 with Bose and OnStar 1500 LT if that helps at all....

Do you want a factory unit
Well here is one
Link
This post is kind of old, but any factory Nav from a GM truck will work except if it's from a Denali or Escalade

By the way you will lose the 6 CD player unless you add a external 6 CD player. If you have the Nav disc in it you can't play a CD.

Ah man, I knew there was a catch. Well I may be looking to do something else then. Is there any indash systems with Nav that I can run a CD and Nav at the same time? Also hook up an addition sub and amp as well??

I know you can't play a cd disk with the NAV disk in BUT can you be using the Nav feature and listen to a cd or play a dvd while traveling down the road?
thanks

OK a couple of things, a factory 03-06 can't not play a DVD.
The units only have 1 slot and can hold 1 NAV disc or CD. Yes the unit can play a CD.
The Nav is real time and the disc has to be in it to use it.

Lots of folks have really nice aftermarket units, but I'm not familiar with them maybe someone will chime in.
