MTAC, wake up.

It's another call to Arms!!

As we all know, Murfreesboro was hit with devastating damage yesterday in the storms that passed through.  Pull out the Tangerine MTAC shirts we bought last year and let's get out and help out where we can.  I will be contacting the Rutherford County Emergency Management Agency next week to see when/where we can help out next Saturday, April 18th.  Bring gloves, trash bags, rakes, shovels, saws and chain saws.  Wearing boots with leather soles is highly recommended.  I will update this thread once I have had a chance to speak with the local authorities.

For those that haven't seen or heard the news regarding the devastation in Middle Tennessee, the pictures are spine tingling.  I was returning from out of town yesterday and landed just before these storms hit.  As soon as I turned on my cell phone, I received multiple text messages from trAVelingman's widow who was in the middle of a hail storm at home and in the closet with 6 kids, ours and Avalanche Fox's).

See the pics HERE.

Spring Hill, where I live, had 2 reported tornado touch downs with minor damage compared to Murfreesboro.  The tornado causing the mass destruction in Murfreesboro cut a path of terror 10 miles in length before lifting up off of the ground.  Tragic.

I was able to get into contact with the Rutherford County Emergency Management team yesterday to offer our help.  At that time, they literally had more volunteers than they had jobs for.  I will check back with them and the Red Cross later this week to see where we might be needed and will update this thread.

banghead I just read this info about the storms.  It's embarrassing, but I didn't even know that there was storm damage up there, this close to my own area.

I'm available to come up and help, John.  I can't do much, but every little bit adds up.  If you need me, please let me know. Thumbs up!
