Just installed a Pioneer 3100 Double Din head unit in my 03 Avy.  I DID NOT use the harness for the door chimes and OnStar (I spliced The harness.)  The radio works great, buit k=now the Avy will shut down immediately after after startup.  The display on the dash says "UNKNOWN DRIVER" on it.  I have the GMDLBP bypass harness installed for my remote starter, and everything work perfect b4 I installed the radio.
There was a connector plugged into my factory unit (BASE unit- not Bose, no amp) that had only two wires in it. They were Orange with Black stripe and a Pink or red with black stripe.  Any ideas what these two wires do?  Do they a 12Volt source?  Do they need to be Grounded?  Or do they need to be spliced together?  Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.  The avy is stuck in the driveway until I get this fixed. Help me! Help me! Help me!

Only thing I can suggest is to disconnect the Headunit you put in then see what happens.

Maybe someone will chime in that knows about the after market headunits will chime in.

Good luck

Maybe Neptune or Midwestkid will see this.

I tried to unplug the battery for awhile, but still nothing.  The windows won't even roll up!!!!  It's a good thing that the weather is decent here.  No window control....no locks....NOTHING.   I'm screwed.

I GOT IT!!!!!!!  There are 2 orange wires in the primary harness going to the head unit.  One is larger than the other.  I twisted both leads together thinking that they were BOTH 12 volt constant.  Well, there NOT!!!!  When I cut the smaller of the two orange wires, the dome lights kicked on, the locks worked and the truck will fire up NO PROBLEM.  Still dont know what the smaller orange wire does, but right now I REALLY DON"T CARE!!! Thanks for the reply, and keep MODDIN!!!!!!! Big laughter with tears
