Anyone going to be around the Tahoe/Truckee area for the 4th???

The fiancee and I have to finish up some of the wedding plans and will be testing out the new bike rack (Thule RoofMount) and the AvTent.

Some hiking in Desolation wilderness may top off the weekend...then on Monday...Meet the DJ, and a few rental companies....Whew...Aug 30th is soon approaching.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else will be in the area

I live in Reno so I am up there all the time - beautiful area.  I will be around that weekend, I think on the 4th I am doing some trout fishing a bit further south of where you will be.  I think Tahoe would be a great place for a GTG.  Lots of Avalanches popping up in the Reno area.

Looks like we are staying at Granite Flats just south of Truckee on the way to Tahoe.  It is primitive car camping which is what we like.  If you anyone is going by and they see a DGM WBH with AvTent and Thule Bike rack on the roof then feel free to honk, or stop by for a beer.   We are going to MTB the Flume trail out of spooner lake as well as the desolation hiking.  Happy 4th to all and to all a good day!
