Well I finally got my head unit reinstalled...  I installed it when I first got my truck with the Metra GMOS-04 and it worked fine for about 5 hours...  Then my head unit shut off and wouldn't turn back on.  Well yesterday I had some free time and started playing around with it, and got everything working, but no sound...  I figured out that the adapter got fried (Go figure, I haven't heard of anyone having good luck with this POS) so I scrapped it.  I went old school and with the wiring diagrams listed here on the boards, I cut the harness plug off of the GMOS-04 adapter (the one that plugs into the factory harness) and wired everything direct to my head unit's harness.  The only extra wire I had to run was an ignition wire.  Now my head unit works like a champ and I have bold beautiful loud sound again...  The loss of the warning chimes and the delayed radio shut off is no big deal to me...  LoL

Plus I installed my head unit bezel from http://www.HUmount.com  It feels good to have my aftermarket stereo again...  Now I just have to finish my mid-gate box to get my thump back...  But I will give it up for the stock Bose amp/sub...  They sound beautiful...

Well im glad u got it in!! I had trouble putting an aftermarket one with getting no sound so I spliced i dk wut its called but a box that allows you to add AUX outputs to the factory. I wish I could put my other one in but its cool, i like the 6 cd changer Smiley

Also since I added the jack into my XM I wouldnt be able to use it, I dont think it would plug into the aftermarket one I have.

NP, I would love to do this but last time I put my aftermarket HU in I got no sound and found out I had to buy an expensive part so I just stuck with the stock one  Sad At least I have a 6cd changer though  Thumbs up!
