I have done my plugs 3 time already. I am a pretty fair mechanic, and trafficman is a great electrician. Along with all the other talents in our club, we could just about do anything. I will be bringing some of my tools just so we have enough to go around. Utah-av has a very nice set of tools in his garage also.
I really LOVE love these Modding GTG's.

Done both.  Pretty easy mod.  Hardest part is getting out one plug and pulling the wire off.

I am going to do some R&R on the Pearl again and really am considering doing the interior too. Might try a small inconspicuous spot in him. Going to have to talk to Tom ( Z66 moderator) he did his and see how it held after a year.

Hey Ya'll,

Sorry I disappeared. Been busy lately. New job, normal summer stuff, getting the garage ready for this GTG... The dang power was out until 2:00 am this morning at my place. I was going to try and do some posting last night but that is hard to do without power... We ended up camping out in the RV until bed time.

I am way excited about this GTG!! It looks like another great turnout! It has forced me to start the next phase of my garage project too. Can't wait to show it off to everyone!

Anyway I am still here and checking in when I can!

Hi guys, missed y'all. I have spent all labor day weekend working on the AV. Saturday morning the fuel pump went out, and then yesterday the window motor on the driver side rolled over and played dead. Long story short, and about $400.00 later and she's back on the road. (Although me and her are still not talking...lol). I will set my calendar for this GTG. And I'm sorry I've missed the last few. Super stoked about the Butterfield Cruise.

Looks like it's going to be another great turn out for a modding GTG.   I was planning on putting in a new cold air intake system for this one but it looks like I will not have the $$$ available to do so.   Cry  I am planning on being there.  So if anyone needs help with any of there projects I will be happy to assist.  See you all there.   Grin

Hi Michael! It has been a few GTG's since we have seen you too. Glad you are going to be able to make this one! It sounds like we have several big mod jobs that will be going on so the more help the better!

I am going to bring down some of my tools so we can work on more then one Av's suspension at a time. Not that Mark doesn't have a lot of great tools. I just would like everybody to be able to get their Mods done, and since I carry most of them with me, it is not a big deal.
I carry a 6 ton floor lack with stands. I can bring my smaller 3 ton with stands also. I have 2 complete sets of craftsman Sockets, plus a set of deep set impacts with a 18" breaker bar and Torque wrench. When it comes to electrical, Kent is the man for that.

looking forward to seeing you all again.

For those of you that have a wife, girlfriend, female stalker, etc... that may want to attend this GTG but doesn't necessarily want to talk Avalanches for hours on end, you may want to take a look at this link...

gardenofartshow.blogspot.com

This is a art show and sale featuring the work of local female artists. The location is in my neighborhood not a stones throw from where we will be doing our modding. So feel free to bring your significant other for lunch at the Modding GTG and then send them down the street to the art show to spend all of your modding money!

See ya Saturday!

Well i got my Josie back today from the Body shop and she looks great. They got the right gatorback this time a repsprayed the cladding. You can tell just by touching her that the gatorback is way different then they did before. The first time they did it with the aerosol cans, which is only designed for touch up work. So the gatorback started just peeling off. This time they bought the entire kit with the gas cap protection. I am very happy with the work and she is even darker then before.
I will be down to the GTG to show her off. So anybody that has been thinking of this Mod will have an idea of what their Av will look like. Now I need to wash her and get a good solid coat of wax on her. Then in 2 weeks do the same. I like to try and get about 5 - 7 coats on before the snow flies to protect my paint.

Yes I will post pics tomorrow. I am gonna put her on my front lawn and have her pose for me.

Wow what an Awesome Get-together   Cool!

We had such agreat turn out and got so much completed.. love

What a great commeradamy THe host and Hostess were completly and totally great.  Everyone had asuch a wonder time.

There were a few Headaches but that come with most Modding, expacially when parts and pieces either do not come out right or don't want to go in. Beating

Other then that I really had a super time.  Thanks to Mrs and Mr. UTAHAV to open there home, Garage, Street, Yard and BBQ to us.

Another great GTG in the books. It was another great turn out and everone got a new mod of some sorts or another. I did find a side effect of the all on high Mod. When you unlock the Av with the FOB the Fogs turn on with the other lights for a split second. I find it really cool, Thumbs up!, Thanks Bad Tuff Stuff.

And thanks again to our great hosts,Utah Av and Spouse. This had to be the longest GTG on record for modding. The Hot Dogs were great, but the company was even better. Looking forward to the Butterfield cruise  love

I will post some pics after I get them uploaded.

Sorry I am a little late with this...

What a cool GTG!!

Thanks everyone! I believe that every AV in attendance had a mod of some sort done to it! It was good to see everyone again! It was awesome to see everyone step up and help each other with all of the mods! That is what the club is all about!!!  Thumbs up!

Here are a few pics...

Hmmmm....   Big laughter with tears

AV's everywhere!

Chillin'  Cool!

Plugs, wires and shocks for Avalanche0_2

The latest addition to my Garage Rebuild Project

Then the GTG went bad when an AV lost control and slammed into a platoon of soldiers patrolling my neighborhood!   Big laughter with tears

Thanks for taking a look!!
