I still can't believe I sold my avy. Do you think a $2500 for my 07 white avy a good deal? It's an LT2 with 24' TIS (rubber need to be replace after another 1000 miles maybe), 26600 low miles, rear TV DVD, custom chrome grill, chrome mirror covers, etc.
The downsides are: the whole driver side has been repainted because someone key my truck, the windshield has about 10' crack that has been fixed, also on the rear passenger door it has a lil nick and scratch.
Overall the avy is in a very good condition. KBB listed for about $28000. I tried to sell it for $26000 but noone seems interested. A friend of mine that works at the chevy used dealership said my truck worth about $23000 and that's the price he can get if he buy from the auction. Other people from the dealership replied my ad and said my truck at the most will worth about $24000.
Anyway, I just want to know if I let my baby go for a good price or not. I have to sell it because I'm leaving the country in Dec.

I am confused.  The title of your thread states you "sold" your AV while your post sounds like you want to SELL your AV............. Roll Eyes

I'd give you $2500 for it .... (look at your 1st sentence) .... but I'm with Trav on this one ... did you or did you not sell your ride ....

If not,  look at it this way ..... only see it if YOU get the price YOU want for it .... the economy is getting better but still has a ways to go .... it will be very hard to get a decent price for a truck today .... the more gas goes up the worse it will get .... give it time .... it will not sell over night ....

If you don't need the cash right away, you could always give someone you trust a legal power attorney to sell it for you. Maybe that way you can get what you want. Also, post a pic here.

From reading your first posting I would say stop worrying about a vehicle that is already sold. You can't change the past and you would just be beating yourself up over a done deal.

A vehicle's price tag is only what someone buying is willing to pay. What might be precious to you is worthless to others, in turn you might consider something and old clunker but to a collector it's a gem of a find. Simply put it's "supply and demand".

Most owners will overvalue a vehicle because they know all the money they spent on mods and accessories and they have an emotional attachment due to the good times they had in that vehicle. The buyers don't have that emotional attachment. They also won't pay much for all the mods and accessories. It's like adding $10,000 worth of chrome to a motorcycle...you will never get $10,000 over blue book for the added stuff.

Another way owners can be hurt financially is if they put very little down on a vehicle so that they owe more than the vehicle is worth due to depreciation. As long as that doesn't happen to you try not to worry too much about your sale price.

If you need another site to double check your price, try www.edmunds.com and use the used vehicle section to help determine prices based on your zip code and vehicle info. That site shows the trade in price, wholesale price and what the dealer would ask if it was for sale on his lot. I don't know if those figures would be different from KBB?

The more prices you get could just confuse things for you. It's like the old saying "A man with one watch always knows what time it is, a man with two watches is never really sure what time it is."

I sold the AVY already for $25000. I like my avy so much but I have to sell it because I'm going back home(out of country) in December. That's why I can't wait any longer to sell my avy. Maybe one day i will buy another one but as fo now I'm feeling better. I was curious what others will say here about my asking price for my avy.

Okay you're still confusing.  You say "I sold the AVY already for $25000."  But in the next sentence you say "I HAVE to sell it because....."  "That's why I can't WAIT any longer..."  Also you're asking us if we like the asking price.

So is it sold or are you trying to sell it?
