«
on:
11/03/09 03:54 AM »
on my 02 the bed covers and all the plastic like it that is in that area peels more and more everytime i wash it...i have a black truck so washing comes frequently.
is there a paint i can buy and do it myself? Has anyone used any kind of glossy bedliner on these parts?
any help is great!
CORRECTION: just read about a gatorback. cant figure out if that is what the peeling is called or if that is the product used to fix this problem

Just a bad case of fading...
get a white vinyl pencil erasor and erase the spots away..
then use your fave protectant or other stuff people recommend....
what you use determines how often you have to repeat application

That looks like it was coated - looks too dark for 02 gray, looks like 02 gray underneath

whatever it is, it has to come off before re-coating it the proper way. Even if you tried to tutch it up it would peal and fleck off foever.
pore adhesion..... I'd lightly sand blast it to the plastic and paint it. With the variety of coatings around now

http://www.urethanesupply.com/bccindex.php
http://www.urethanesupply.com/bccprices.php
What cladding I curently have now, has it on it. lol a ford color to boot
If it's coming off with a pressure washer. You may just want to use $50 in quarters and get it all off......
