WV Holiday Dinner~Charleston WV~December 19, 2009

We have been talking about meeting for dinner around Charleston for a while now and I think it's time to get that done. Last year on the Saturday before Christmas we got together for dinner at LaRoca in Cross Lanes... a few of our OH buddies joined us and enjoyed it so much they have requested we do it again.  I know this is a busy time for everyone, but why not come to Charleston do some last minute shopping then join us for dinner. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Gee, this is so far for us to travel, I think we may have to really think about it    There is a Christmas light display in St. Albans that could be doable after dinner....It is no Oglebay, but it is not bad.

Yeah I think you should be able to make the 5 minute drive (with traffic ). Your On the attending list. The light sounds like a fun idea... you'll have to be in charge of getting us there I have never been to see them.

I was just thinking how much I wanted to have another holiday dinner with you guys and thinking of the date and GBT calls  to ask if we wanted to go.  I am thrilled that we are doing this.

Five hours one way is nothing.  We do it all the time.  Thou, it's getting a little a bit weary to do it. 

I thought I had the "mystery guest" figured out till you "said out of town".  Now I'm stumped. 

You keep working on your group down there and I will work on the group from up here.

IF anybody wants to make it an overnighter there are 3 motels (Comfort Inn,  Sleep Inn and Motel 6) at the Cross Lanes exit as well as several within 10 miles.  Let me know if you need any info on these.  If any do stay over, then we can plan a breakfast for Sunday.

Thanks for the help Ronnie! Another thing to keep in mind if you want to make a overnight trip out of it... Tri-state Racetrack and Casino is less then a  mile from the restaurant.

I know our "Mystery guest" will be staying over if they are able to attend.
