dhaluzak is going with some ideas we had, and putting something together for the Wisconsin members on Sat. Sept. 6.

Tentatively: we talked about meeting at Ultimate Truck & Accessories in Pewaukee, (just South of 94 & T at 2204 Silvernail Rd.) around 1:00 in the afternoon.  Browse and chat while waiting for other members to arrive....  maybe buy mods!!!!!   Yes!   love chevy
Hang around there for an hour or so, and then cruise around Lake Country and stop for ice cream some where.  It's not a big fancy GTG, but I know that there are a lot of WI members out there that have been looking for a meet closer to home.  This is a perfect chance for you to get to meet some of the other local AVers, check out mods, and mini-cruise.

As usual, kids, dogs, friends, every one is welcome!
Please post or email me if you're intrested, and watch for the schedule to be firmed up.

See you there,
Jen

I'm not from Wisconsin can I go?  I was going to limit the cruises I go to until Butch's.  Just didn't set a limit   I got a beater car to drive during the week and keep the Av in the garage until the weekend.  I look forward to weekends more now.   So more cruises.   I am in thumbs_up thumbs_up If Dawn can't make it I might bring Joe, he likes icecream and Avs.    Matt

You bet!  The more the merrier.

I will try to get the route figured out by mid next week.  I will give Ultimate Truck Accessories a call to make sure that they wouldn't mind several AV owners invading their store.  This will be my first attempt at organizing a cruise, so be gentle with me.  I will try to make it as exciting as I can.  The only thing I ask from all of you AV owners, is to come.

Thanks,  Dan

Dave and I are planning on being up in WI that weekend so we will be there.  We might also bring Brodie(our dog) along. He loves meeting new people and going for rides in the truck.

If you plan to cruise through the Kettle Moraine near Eagle I will see if my parents would mind if we used their place as a pit stop. There are a couple of cul-de-sacs in their subdivision that could make for some nice photo opps. Trees and open field as backdrops.

Suggestion for ice cream stop : La Duc's in Wales. The parking lot is really, really small but there is a Quik Trip next to it. This is a very popular place in the summer time and it's not too far from Pewaukee.

Once again, I will try to make it to this gtg.

I have been really busy at work and home, that's why I didn't make it to the Aug. 24 gtg.

I hope I can make it to this one. If not I wil make it to the Sep. 20 for sure. I have paid for the hotel, so I have a very legit excuse to go and not miss it.

Hope to see you all there

Jaime and Dave, I'm glad you can make it!  La Duc's is a great place!  We used to drive out there from the Big Bend area for ice cream when I was younger.  Long drive, but worth it!  What kind of dog is Brodie?
Mike, glad you're coming, too.  With the boys.  I will have my mental-case Max with.
NorthFace, I hope you can make it, but otherwise, I will see you at Butch's!  No excuse!   Wink

So who else is coming??? Huh

Biggie, what's up with you?

Thanks Biggie. He's a good boy. Tell your mom that the people are the ones that make the dogs mean. Dogs are not born mean, they're made to be mean by people mistreating and abusing them. My mom never liked Rottweiler's either and was NOT thrilled when she heard Dave and I were adopting Brodie. She has changed her mind though. She knows he's a good dog, but she still thinks he's too big Roll Eyes

It's too bad you won't be able to meet Brodie on the 6th Sad

We can bring the girls along.  Here is a pic of them.  Hildi (Border Collie) is much bigger now.

I am still working on the route.  I want it to be exciting, but yet I want us to be able to stop and talk (in person).  I am thinking of changing the ice cream stop to the Kiltie in Oconomowoc.  They serve us right at our vehicles.  Maybe if it is warm, we can do both.
Nala and Hildi both love ice cream.

2 paws up from Brodie for the double ice cream stop!! Hildi was a cute puppy, unfortunately we didn't have Brodie when he was in the cute puppy stage. We got him at the big clumsy ox stage, now he's just a big clumsy moose Roll Eyes

Ok, drove most of the route yesterday.  I was trying to find the best scenic route.  Found a lot of dead end roads.  I figure we can start at Ultimate Truck Accesories at 1pm.  Stay for as long as we wish to "shop".  Window or otherwise.  We can then cruise to the Kiltie get a snack and talk.  From there we can cruise to Holy Hill.  Very scenic cruising and good photo ops.  The last stop will be the Carousel.  More custard and talking.
We can talk about Butch's modding gtg and who is going.

I just wanted to let you folks know that there's new a radio controlled Avalanche at my local jewel store for really good buy, it's 1/6 th scale in size, it's a red Z-71, with a bonus remote controlled ATV in the bed, included, its the biggest remote av you can buy, and the most detailed too. It's also rechargable(everything is included, battery and charger) for $69.95 it's a steal, i paid 100 dollars plus tax for mine from walmart, and it did not come with the ATV.   If somebody is interested, let me know, and i'll pick it up in the morning, and bring it up to the gtg, for you to purchase, BTW there's only one left.  It is 29 inches long and weighs about 10 lbs.    The brand is New Bright.

Mike, we already played with the 4-wheeler!  The video looks cool!  Once we transfer it, we will give you back the tape.  You gotta bring that plane to Butch's!  If there's enough room to get it off the ground there the pics will be awesome!

I had a great time with everybody today!  Perfectly hot day for ice cream.  Sorry Ultimate truck didn't have much inside.  Tami, please thank your Mom again for the use of her yard.  She is a true Chevy kindred spirit! Wink

I would like to meet up with everyone at LaDukes. Please give me a time when you will be there or I can give a phone # to call when you get there. I cant talk my wife into a long ride, but a quick stop for an ice cream with the kids is ok with her. We live in Mukwonago so it would be perfect.
