Just got my new AV.  most fun I've ever had in a truck.  my service 4wd light came on last night though... bought it with 38000 miles down in maple grove from a nice lady whose kid lives in Oklahoma.  GREAT deal from nice people.  I'm up in Duluth so ya'll know.  we have avalanches all over the place up here.  If there is a flyer to drop on windsheilds get it to me I would love to drop it on a few!

Well add me to the MN group.  Just bought it tonight.  2004 4x4, Dark grey, sun and sound.  I live in Champlin and work in Eden Prairie.  The first 12 miles have been a blast, and I looking forward to the next 100,000.

Hey guys,  new to the AV family and this fan club.  Live in Rogers MN and would love to meet someother AV owners here in MN.  I have already done quite a bit of modding to my 04 WBH DRK Grey Metallic AV.  Lets just say it isn't just DRK Grey anymore.  There is a picture of it under the Accessories and Mod Forum, then Decals Paint, etc. Forum.

Let me know who else is out there from the area!

Hey Wildfan, I think I saw that Sunset Orange Avalanche, it was me! I'm up in Elk River often visiting friends. Just got my truck a couple of months ago, its my 3rd Avalanche  (02,03,04).

Here are some details

My new one has a 6" Fabtech lift painted to match body, color matched tail light and headlight trim, Billet grille, Wheel flares, Motto chrome wheels 18 x 36 tires, nurf bars, sunroof, escalade chrome door handles and side mirrors, chrome kick plates, 1 peice cowl induction hood, 9" DVD/TV = play station, carbon fiber interior trim (matches body also), custom leather and suede seats, Supercharged 5.7 litre (about 500 hp) and 1200 amp Alpine with a 10 sub in the center console (thats cool) and all Orange painted cladding

Its a blast to drive and turns many a head.

Would enjoy hooking up with other Avalanchers sometime

Hey All~
Just picked up my 2005 Red Metallic on Dec. 30--Its really a big change from my H2, but I like it so far!!! I am really looking forward to adding all sorts of fun accessories on the inside & outside. Anyone know of a good place (in or near the south metro) to get some new pipes thrown on it? I took my H2 to Waldoch in Burnsville last time, but Im not sure if that was the best way to go.....Would appreciate any feedback given, thanks!

Welcome to the site. I think your right about Waldoch big bucks. I think all they do is send it out to some shop and add there markup. I belong to the Minn. Street Rod Asso. and use the advertisers in there. They are all motor heads and if your a member there is always a discount. All the Car,x shops are in there. Meineke in Maplewood 651-779-8113  I'm in Eagan maybe i will see you on the road [if you install some ambers] Dwayne.

Thanks, Dwayne! I appreciate all of the info you've provided! I am going to look into that MN Street Rod Assoc, and hopefully I will get hooked up with a reputable shop to do some work on my AV. And I will work on getting some ambers.... Smiley

There must not be very many members of CAFCNA in Minnesota. The last time I drove through Mpls I didn't see one set of ambers on an AV the who trip to Lakeville!

pojo you mite just see me sometime. I go thru your town almost every thurs. or fri. night. Then back thru on sunday night. I have a cabin between Motley/Staples and i am there almost every weekend. I take the first exit off 94 then zip thru town and across the mississippi hit county 11 to hwy. 10. FSHNGUY your right i see tons of av's but never any ambers. The only set i have seen was huskydriver once. And i don't see him on either site anymore. Dwayne

Dwayne,
I shall look, although I try to stay out of Monticello, especially on Friday and Suday Nights.   It appears poor planning has changed the town from a quiet little town, to a place that gets 50,000 cars through it each weekend.    I'm really starting to enjoy this group; they have great topics, great ideas, and the photos to go with the ideas.    I'm still stock, but have seen many great ideas.

Your right about the traffic. There should be a hwy. that connects the two without going thru town. But the powers that be want you to go thru town. Maybe stop spend money or get caught a little over and add to the local fund. They are going to redo hwy. 10 thru Staples. The state had already bought the land to go around the city. But the city officals stopped  that now its going right thru town again.

Hello everyone.  I just bought an 03 Avalanche and live in Cottage Grove.

What is the deal with the amber DRL? Is it to signify that the driver is in this club? I take it you just change the bulbs.
