Hi everyone. My name is Chris and I feel like I'm in an AA meeting. "Hello. My name is ___ and I'm an ..." You get the picture. Anyway, I'm in the Kokomo area and I'm going to be in the market very quickly for some repairs on my Av, probably in the rear end/drive shaft region. Does anyone in Kokomo know of a place to get honest service? Thanks.

I just had the rear carrier and the pinion bearings replaced at my dealer near Anderson. It cost me $800 & I felt that was a fair price. I have heard of people paying up to $2200 for rear end work. I have a son living in Peru who works at AutoZone, he knows a lot of shops up that way because he is a commercial rep, I can ask him if you wish.

Or better yet............we are having a Get Together at Dave & Busters in Indianapolis on the 19th, come join us and ask him about this, he will be there! You can click on the Region III banner in my sig to get details of this GTG.

Hey guys, I'm Chris and I live in Avon just west of Indy.  I bought my Avy in May of last year and I had no idea it could be this good.  I have a black 2007 LT3 and is the nicest truck I have ever owned.  I've always been a chevy guy and owned S-10s and Silverados before but this is my first Avy.  Best.  Truck.  Ever.   Thumbs up!  Just to let everyone know, my ambers are sitting on the console waiting for me to get time to pull those monster headlights.

I agree that this is a great repository of knowledge.  That's how I came across this site in the first place.  I had my Avy for 6 months and had a weird noise coming from the rear.  I took it in and found out it was chewing up the side carrier bearings on the differential.  Bummer.   Sad  Luckily, it was all covered under the powertrain 100k miles warranty  Thumbs up!  I'll be sure and post my entire experience and my praise for the dealership that repaired it in the appropriate thread.

I look forward to meeting you guys!

Yea, I kind of learned my lesson about scheduling a GTG when the Colts are playing.............. Cool!

Right now I am talking to carnut and planning a GTG so that he gets to try a HOOSIER BREADED PORK TENDERLOIN while staying in our state. Would you believe he has never had one? I have a few places in mind and will make a post when we can get his schedule and the GTG planned!

Gauging interest for a midwest G2G July 23rd-25th for the Worldwide G2G! We can figure out a central point and meet up somewhere there! I realize this is vague right now, but I want to check on interest and where people would be coming from first!

Here is a link to the discussion thread!  Thumbs up!

For anyone reading this thread, I send out a newsletter monthly. Well it used to be monthly, I have been slacking lately! I let members know about GTG's and anything going on that may be of interest to our Indiana members, also anyone else that wants on our list. I do not share your e-address with anyone and BCC the email so everyone does not get your address!

If you want on that mailing list PM me,, you can get my information by clicking on my name over there to your left.

I will be sending out a newsletter later today, if you want one just get me your e-address!
