Eagle 1 Tire Shine and similar products for Cladding

Ok, I am new to the lingo what is Thread?
What do you use on the panel 3 rightside?

also I get the best mileage with the use of max tire pressure 55k on first set of tires as from dealerand injector cleaner.  Rotate each oil change!!!

Drive from Ca. to Vegas alot and get 16-17 in town with 20-21 to Vegas
the octane does not seem to matter. use the 87.

Thinking of trying the Cyclone or the Throttle body spacer- any thoughts???
How much gain if any in MPG- Happy w/power looking for more MPG??

Welcome to the Club.   

I have a TSB and really can’t notice an improvement.  If you end up installing one, be prepared to get a whiny noise when you accelerate.

This topic is a thread...each item in the forum is a thread... a thread is made up of posts...

PS...should not be driving at max air pressure...as when you drive..the tires heat up...and then will exceed this pressure and could damage tires...blow out etc etc...

The engine is designed for 87 octane only hence why it runs best on it...

ive used the meguiars back to black it dont last , but now im using meguiars hot shine tire spray and gotta say looks good and last long time. have pic of av just detailed today. one thing forgot to mention when doing the back of truck sail panels on inside and back of window area start there first and work your self to rear of truck lets just say slippery.til drys.

Thanks for the good advice.  I was wondering how to make the cladding shine.  I just bought a 04 Av in August and have tried to keep it as clean as possible but it is getting harder with winter coming on.

i actually just started using my extra meguiars tire shine spray bottle style, no good for doing my tires because of the all the creveces(spelling?) but excellent for the cladding. just have to see how long it lasts.

ok,used the eagle 1  stuff today on the cladding and i have to say, looks gr8!! was using the armor-dillo,stuff sux!! doesen't last as long as they claim. we'll see how the eagle 1  holds up.

gotta say after using this stuff for a few times,not sure if i like anymore. i noticed when i wash the truck, i get run-off from the eagle-1.

I have used Turtle wax ice on panels and it does not run. And the water beads up on them

But like everything else there are at least 1/2 dozen diffrent products out now.
From paste to wash....I believe the correct one is the liquid Wax?

NOT BY A LONG SHOT..  THere is a Refinish Restorer out there that is much much better..  Several threads out there on it..

I had some stinky spray on tire shine laying around the garage. I sprayed some on my washed out grey plastic sun drenched tool box. It went instantly black. It made static "pops" while I wiped it on. That told me it could be a dust magnet. I bought some Eagle 1 tire shine gel and put it on top of the coat of the stinky dust magnet stuff and all the static went away and it looked even better. I did the whole back end bed area with this method and now it looks great. I drove in a rainstorm and it all just beaded up. I don't know how long it will last but it will sure be a lot easier to add maintenance coats then that first application. I don't think the original owner did a thing to maintain it.

Updated: I applied the Eagle 1 the first week of October - this was taken Valentine's day. So in 4 months it's holding up fairly well. Couple of snowstorms with road splatter but mostly garage living. I think I'll re-apply when spring gets here like April 1st or whatever. So in my case it lasts about 6 months tops.

I just finished using the Eagle 1 Tire Shine on my 2005 that I recently bought - the cladding was turning whitish.

I used the following method:

1) Spray on

2) Rub in vigorously with a VERY FINE scrub brush - this really got the product into the grooves and allowed me to rub out the most difficult white spots/stains

3) Rub over the entire surface with a decent quality cloth rag - this removes excess product.  Once the rag is saturated with the product, you can use it to get into those tough spaces like the top of the cladding where it meets the body.

4) Enjoy!  This stuff absolutely rocks - thanks for letting me know about it!

   Hey guys! i dont know if you have heard or not but there is a chemical called refinish restorer and it works wonders on the faded cladding.  I have been reading up on it for about a month and finally got some.  I applied it today and it looks better than any of the other products i have used.  There is a thread on this site that will show you before and after pics.  you can google the chemical but i bought mine from ditcheck.com.  it is said to last at least six months without fading and it only cost $30,  it is well worth it.  Refinish Restorer by a company called CARSYSTEM.  try searching for it on this site and check for yourself.
