Hey all,

I'm the new Arkansas Coordinator and I'm trying to get a good idea of who's in our wonderful state! So if you live in Arkansas, please reply to this message. When we get enough people I'll plan a Get-Together, probably in Little Rock since that is a central location.

Hey Mike:

Glad to see you stepped up to the plate.

Really looking forward to the big get together.  Have you thought about meeting in Hot Springs?  Everyone wants to take their 'lanch through the mountains.

Just purchased my AV 2 weeks ago.  It is better than any truck I have ever owned. Hope a GTG comes soon.

I see alot of Avs in Arkansas.  I see alot where I live in central Arkansas.  Has the club not been publicized around here?  I only found out about the club when I was searching for accessories.

Do alot of the people in Arkansas just look at the Av as a way to get to the "deer woods"?  I think the AV is the best truck ever made.  I wish I could afford some of the high $ mods on this site.  I would also love to have a 2500 motor in my 1500 model.

Hey redvaz66,

Welcome to the site! I am the Arkansas Coordinator and I live in Fort Smith. Most people find this site by searching the internet, not by other forms of publicity. But we are not a very organized group in Arkansas. I have done some tagging here in Fort Smith but we need more people to spread the word about the site there in central arkansas. Start tagging Avs!  Smiley

I have been thinking of having a Get-Together sometime in the early summer...probably in Central Arkansas. Hope you can make it!

Good to hear your reply.  What are you tagging Avs with?  I will start.  Alot of Avs here, but I don't see many mods done to them.

In the bottom of your Av desription I see a link with purdue.edu.  Did you go to Purdue University?

Hello Everyone

I'm a bit new to the Avy lifestyle (I just traded off my trusty old white 97 z71 for a nice 02 z71 avy).   I miss the old white beast a lot, but boy does this avy ROCK!  I live in Northeast Arkansas, (Paragould/Jonesboro area) but i'm in Little Rock at least once a month.  Let me know of anything new that's happening, please.

Welcome Jethro and rtcockrill!

We have had two get-togethers so far this year. Perhaps we will have another one soon. I hope I get a chance to meet you both. There are quite a few members around the Little Rock area.

rtcockrill, good luck with the Avy purchase! If you need any advice then just ask and we will all help!

I SAW THAT! I wish I would have known that you were coming by! We could have done lunch or something! Talk about confused...I was like, hunh? But then I remembered that you were coming back from your west coast trip and probably came right through Fort Smith! That was the coolest tag ever!

THANKS! We did think it would be cool to tag you since you are a former Indiana Member. If I would have had a way to contact you I would have. We were in between lunch and dinner so we just moved on.

Maybe we should have a GTG at the air show its usually in early June at the airbase in Jacksonville.  We could all line up in downtown LR and form a convoy of sorts.  Think a line of Avs sitting on the Tarmac at the base would be coollooking.

Hi, just wanted to say Hello.

Bought our first Chevy product to day,  other than a few years back purchased a new 32 ft motor home built on a Chevy chassis.

Had my eyes on the Avalanche ever since they came out. We'll be getting our new 05 Silver with Gray leather tomorrow.

See several here in Hot Springs.

We'd really like for all of you Arkansas guys to come over and meet a ton of AV owners at the Southern Nights/Super Chevy Show happening in Huntsville, AL from May 18-21.  Right now there are more than 70 AVs planning on being there.  You can find more about it by looking HERE.  Come for any or all of the days.

I hope to see some of you there!  I know you'll really enjoy it!

I live in Hot Springs and a very proud owner of a 2004 AV LOADED on factory 20's.  Black and chrome. Bought off Ebay in New York City and had it shipped.

Welcome, glad to see another from Hot Springs!

I think that is very interesting about you buying off Ebay. I've bought new vehicles from out of town over the phone but I could never buy a used one that I hadn't seen and drove. I've heard about other people buying like that but I would get taken for sure.

Good luck with your AV.

Hey, olefin glad to see a fellow spa city guy in here.  I can honestly say my ebay experience was a pleasant one.  I have bought two cars off it and my neighbor saw what I did and just purchased a H2 hummer from Soix City, Iowa. Both look great, just black and chrome.
I have been reading about people wanting to Gatorback their molding.  I have talked with a close personal friend of mine who is a professional painter.  He said he would contact the company and see if he could get it at a cheaper price and give fellow AV'ers a good deal if they wanted to have it sprayed on.  His web site is www.middlefingermohawks.com I will let you know the cost after he looks into it.

Now you are talking my language, but my wife is currently pregnant so my four wheeling with my Grizz days are short.  I live in the Ozark Nat Forest so we keep it close to the house right now, of course only when she is at work, so the beatings and screaming stay to a minimun.  What are you guys packing?  02 Yamaha Grizz 660 with 27in mudhogs.  10X12 front, 12X12 on back.  Little brother has 05 Polaris 700 efi Hunter Edition camo.  He has even all-on mod on his...how cool is that.  I am rubbing off on him.

I live in Little Rock and don't have access to an ATV here.  We keep them down at the farm.  I'm game for whatever.  I just would like to get a good network of friends in the area so that I don't have to keep going to the dealership for problems.  Let's get something going!

Hey everybody,
Goom tagged me this weekend and it just reminded me we need to have another GTG at burns park or somewhere.
Lots of cool mods that need to be properly shown to the assembled AV crowd!
I actually met Jayhawk a couple of years ago at Burns Park.

Just registered today, I live in NE Arkansas, I've had my Avalanch since September, it's an 04 Z66, the only mods so far is a set of factory SS 20's I put on a few weeks ago, really made it look great. I'm currently looking for an 05 or 06 in red or white. If you get something together and my schedule will permit I will try to make.

Thanks

Help me!  Most of these posts are a little old.  Do we have a current coordinator for Arkansas?  I'm going to print some brochures and start doing some tagging.  As many AVs as I see on a daily basis, it shouldn't be too hard to get something going around here.

We'd love to have any of our Arkansas AV owners come join us in Nashville for Music City Mayhem.  It will introduce you to the Avalanche Club in a grand way.  It's going to be HUGE.  If you click on my signature below, it will take you to get more info.

Hope to see some of you guys there!

Anybody in Little Rock?  I'm in Little Rock (near War Memorial Stadium) and my girlfriend is in Sherwood.  I'm always going to and from.  Have only spotted a few AVs.  Good meeting place could be Hooters in NLR.  Let see how many AVs we can get there this summer. Howdy all from the Northwest Corner of the state,
Just purchased my 2005 Avalanche a couple of weeks ago.   I LOVE it :A:!!! I've been a big fan of Chevy since i was a kid and traded in my '95 Tahoe w/ 172K on it to get this sweet ride.    Moved in from Chicago in '84 when i was a youngster and lived in Springdale/Fayetteville since then.    Currently working for the Springdale FD and selling real estate.   I'll get some pics posted of my new baby soon.   Give me a shout and let me know what's going on with everyone here!

Know them well.  Yep, great people.  Great community supporters.  They always have TONS of boats and now ATVs.  Wish I could talk him out of a ATV for a good price.

"Scrapper" Territory!  My nephew graduated from Nashville HS 20 years ago.  I didn't, but then I graduated from HS in Houston many, many years ago.
