St.Thomas On

I just sold my 03 Z71 Avalanche and just bought a 09 Z71 Avalanche

Congrats on the new purchase, I have yet to even look inside a new model. I have been thinking about a change, possibly a H2.
My wife got a 07 H3 last year and I love driving that truck.
The only problem is getting the keys from my wife as she loves it too!!!

My lease was expiring on my Grand Prix, been looking for a while for an AV. Found the Z66 at a local GM dealership, it was an excellent price and very clean too. We get the snow in Windsor but never too bad , its gotta be 100% improvement over driving the GP in snow  Cheesy. I will see how the Z66 goes and can always trade for a Z71...point is I have an AV now  Thumbs up!

welcome to the site steve, congrats on the Z66. I guess you don't need the 4 wheel drive since you're in the 'tropics of ontario'

are you guys all moving to Michigan or just planning to visit more often  Huh

A Canadian company bought the Pontiac Silverdome for $586,000.00 this month. The 80,300-seat stadium opened in 1975 at a cost of 55.7 million dollars to the local tax payers. One report said the stadium sold for $7.85 a seat  Shocked

Thumbs up!  One thing I have found, with my wreckless abandon in my Z66 (I love rear wheel drive in the snow!)  I prefer to turn the traction control OFF!  I get a better feel for the conditions, and I seem to be able to control it better as well.  Mind you, TC does help when you get stuck, and so does the G-80 Locker differential!

Enjoy it, baby it, drive it like you stole it.    chevy  Congrats, and welcome again.

Cheers,
Been in Canada 5 years now, not had any bad experiences as yet with snow. Worst snow experience was when I lived in UK(never get snow country) Went out for a ride with a few guys on my ZX9 Ninja in December. 200 miles from home we hit a snow storm.... i learned quickly to rear wheel steer a big bore bike and also learned to always put a spare pair of boxers under the seat!!!!
Thanks for the welcome  Thumbs up!

Good luck with the Z66. This is my first winter with my Z66 as well. I put Goodyear Nordics on it. We'll see how they do when the REAL snow flies.

That was England, you can more or less bike all year round as long as you have the right gear, its rare to drop anything under -1 in the Winter. Snow is usually rare and when it does comes it melts to slush the same day.
