Little TIP...

DO as the bottle says...and wait 8 hours before applying another coat...

I can see where I put two coats it looks kinda strange.....a bit whiteish....

but I tested and clean surface with some cleaner and rag...and these marks go away...

No drip marks on paint....held up to DEW....Sunny and 79F now...supposed to rain tomorrow....30F on Sunday...so pretty much all the environmental factors should be covered  by next week....

I bow to thee.....this stuff is holding up great...even after several heavy days with "DEW" on it....

I just need to perfect application with dry applicator...and ensure it does not get wet with water until 30 mins or so....I have the #2 panel looking funky...since I went over it with water wet applicator.....and a few spots around where I went back and touched up with this same wet app....

but man...this is the stuff....

I am gonna now research better ways to apply since this stuff is so thin...it leaks easily from sponge applicator....

maybe next time I will use a terry cloth coverd foam applicator..

Try it FSU...on a bed panel...AMAZING...look

I just tried the FUTURE floor wax this morning.  It looks good.  My bed covers were really bad, and now they look like the day I picked it up from the dealer.  Thanks for the good advice guys.  My wife thinks this site is so funny, but I never would have thought of using floor wax on the cladding

Since my panels are also bad and I had the armo dillo done by the dealer last year and it lasted about 2 weeks I will try this in the spring.

Keep up the good work guys and keep the comments coming.

To the skeptics out there I was shocked to find out that after flying my sister cleans off her private airplane with...

PLEDGE!  Yes, furniture polish -- not the canopy but all painted surfaces.  Keep in mind though that aircraft paint is different from an automotive finish.

Old car show trick.  Furniture polish on the paint makes it shine.... first rain, its gone.  Straight wax w/ furniture polish looks better than any polish out there.  As for protectant and duration....... maybe if you live in a desert w/ no sun?

Bringing this thread to the top...with a sticky...since I think it is such a great way to make the cladding look good for little money....

Seems everyone who has tried it has been very happy with look, how long it lasts...(mine is still looking like the day I applied it 2 months ago)...and the cheap price...$5 for half gallon

SO try it and post your experience here....

Will try in the likely very near future (<----pun) when the insanely overpriced even at BOGO, apparently caustic, possibly subject to spontaneous combustion, scheme to line the pockets of GM and the producer, product marketed as (well you know which one) wears off  Roll Eyes

I applied a coat of Future about a month ago.  So far, so good.  This was only on the bed panels, just to see what it was all about, before I did the rest of the truck.  I have been pleasantly surprised with the results.

So far, I've only done the bed panels with Future.  The storage lids don't really need it, but the sail panels sure do.  They're worse than the bed panels.

Since there would be a change in color from the upper plastic to the lower cladding, I guess that would need to be addressed too.  Has anyone done the lower cladding as well?  How does the front bumper hold up after scrubbing bugs off?

I found it brings the color back too. I replaced my rear bumper cover and it was darker than the rest until I did Future wax. Be careful though, I got too much in a couple of areas and now I have to clean it off and redo. no big deal. You can see a noticable difference between the lower cladding and the upper on my truck, as I haven't done the upper yet. I think this pick shows the comparison.

Yeah, both of ours need it. I remember seeing it on Glenns AV a while ago but my panels were not faded at that time so I did not look to good. YGMN`s pics look good but we will try in on your AV first love I hope you bought a big bottle Cheesy
