I just called the Cadillac dealer out in California where I bought my current NAV unit.

According to him, Cadillac is not yet using the new TNR.  However, he said he would "look into it" to see what he can do.

Hopefully, I'll be at my Hummer dealer in the next couple of weeks getting my Magnacharger installed , and will research the TNR there.  Unforunately, GM is usually very slow to get parts listings to dealers, so 2005 parts lists may not be there yet.

Could someone send me (bjurkovski@charter.net) information on the wiring changes necessary to make the luxury BOSE amp work in my 2003 GMC 2500HD with the navigation radio.  I've tried making the changes I could find in the thread but I’m having problems and I think I may me b=missing something.  I connected A1 (Light Blue) from the RSA to B10 (Tan) and moved B10 (Dark Green/White) to B5 and I get no sound after bypassing the theft lock and the NAV unit continuously power cycles.

I also noticed that I am getting door and key in ignition chimes.  Is it just that the disconnecting the HU in accessory mode to bypass the theft lock yields no sound?  And that if I get the theft lock removed that the sound will work?  Please let me know... Thanks!

Although that works, it can send things in a frenzy...
The chimes were generated in the UC6 HU before. Now they are generated in the Amp. Check the X-ref chart I sent you, then we'll go over it unless you find something that fixed it.

When you (have them) clear the theftlock, clear the error codes too.

If they have a 2005 H2 with the TNR on the lot when I go, maybe I can talk them into plugging in a Tech 2:

You can use your Tech 2 to obtain the part number of the radio in a vehicle.

For class 2 vehicles, follow this path (typical):
- Diagnostics
- Build vehicle
- Body
- Radio
- I D Information
- Module Information
- 8 Digit GM Part Number

TIP: The module list is arranged alphabetically. So, when scrolling the list, you will see Digital Radio Receiver early in the list and Radio later in the list.

If you select Digital Radio Receiver, you will obtain the part number for the remote-mounted XM satellite receiver.

Some items are no doubt still not in even the latest parts update.

At least this method is available. Some of it is dependant on the latest update for the Tech2. Fortunately, the part number is read from the vehicle.

Ok, I got the NAV up and running with sperry’s help (thank you very much) and now I'm trying to install the 6 disk cd changer but when I went to inset the terminals into the 12 pin wiring harness that plugs into the back of the HU I find that I, J and K are already occupied.  I can only assume that where the XM or OnStar is plugged into but I see that people have successfully installed the 6 disc changer with these options.  Is there another input that I can connect the CD changer audio into?  Please let me know... Thanks!

I can't find "I" without digging further, but the left (J), Right (H) and common (K) are usually all coupled with other device outputs.

OnStar comes in at the HU L & M

All the lefts, common and all the rights from RSE, XM and your changer. The DATA selects the device you want . Same should happen at the RSA. It connects to the HU B8, B9, A10 & A11.

So you think I should splice into the existing wires becasue it's a shared input?

GM uses the splicepack. That's all well and good during the vehicle's build but I'd just take the easy way out!

Yep! Try some scotch locks or a similar type of insulation displacement connector to tap in.

That way, all you have to do is undo it if there's a fault. Those should be easy and since they're out of the elements, shouldn't be a problem.

I don't mean to sound unsure, but I opted out of the changer. I never use CD's!
So I didn't install one in mine.

Scott (pbuilder) and Jimmy (gable74) and some others did.

Here's a print - remember to click on the link and open it up to a larger detail. (Save it and/or open it in MS Paint will work)

Since that shows it going to the splice pack, I'll get a print that'll show the radio connections that are the same electrically.

This is the XM one...

While I was looking, I found this..
It's if there one or two of the accessories, where they would wire one or the other to the HU connector instead of using the splice pack.

And the Splice pack, SP250, used if you have multiple devices; (Changer, RSE & XM)

So, you can see that it's electrically the same, it's just how they do it.

Here's where SP250 is, if you really want to do it!
(Have fun, if so!)

the only other things that a re connected are the RSE, Xm . If you have XM then that is why they are occupied. you can just splice them and it should be fine or use the splice pack. Mine were vacantso it was no big deal. The CD is plug and play so it will work when it is installed by pushing the cd button 2 times or the source till you get it. It is so nice to have a 6 disk changer again and now I have MP3s as well with MP3 player.
Sounds like the data wire was connected wrong and causing the HU to cycle on and off or was it something else.

The cycling happened in two Sierra's. It was the "drain" wire that I didn't show at first.
( C1: move B12 to B7) It cleared up both times when they moved it.

Additionally, C2 "E" should be tapped on/soldered to.

I'll e-mail the updated DOC I have...

I'll give it a shot tonight and let you know.  If I want to hook into the splice pack which terminals would I use or if someone has a wiring diagram for the splice pack I could figure it out.  BTW:  I got the theft lock removed this morning and this thing is sweet.  Everything works including driver priority.   Grin

Not sure I understand how a drain wire that is not connected dose anything since both end would be open if it were pulled out of connector c2.
