Battery Tray ReplacementRemoval Procedure
1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the bolts from the battery tray support.
3. Remove the bolts (1) from the fender inner panel.
4. Remove the bolts (2) from the battery tray reinforcement.
5. Remove the battery tray.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the battery tray.
2. Install the bolts (2) to the battery tray reinforcement until snug.
3. Install the bolts (1) to the fender inner panel until snug.
4. Install the bolts to the battery tray support until snug.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems. 5. Tighten the battery tray bolts.
Tighten Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
6. Install the battery.
