It's been kicked around for a while, but glad you pushed it to the front and got it done.

The other problem I've been having is the "check guages" display is always on even though none of the guages are displaying on the cluster. Hmmm... banghead

I think superbee is the only one that has it done, mine is still on my list of todo's

I've been staring at the display on my windshield for about 8 months now without finishing it.  By taking the case off the unit and projecting it directly on the windshield without the two mirrors in the case, the display is pretty small.  The lack of space in the dash for the whole unit is the real problem.  I've been trying to figure out a way to magnify the display without having the opposite happen into the dash, the sun magnifying back and starting the dash on fire.

I picked up a corvette HUD dash bezel, and a magnifier sheet from office max that you use to read fine print.  That looks like it has some promise, but I just haven't found time to work on it.  With the magnifying sheet at the right angle, the display on the windshield is pretty much the same as if the whole HUD unit had been used.  I'll keep everyone posted when I get it done.

Thanks it could not get the case under the dash either, so when ever I get around to it I'll probably have the same problem.

What about the projection, is showing double due to the dual glass make of the windshield?

It also has to do with the angle the HUD is at.  I fought with this to get the display squared up to the driver, but the windshield in the Av is at a different angle than the Rendezvous that the unit came out of.  I've discovered that using the magnifying sheet at a certain angle brings the display up to the right size, and also eliminates the double image.

I was fooling around with it just holding it up on the dash and playing with the angles.  When I get some time I'll get some pix posted and hopefully get this thing DONE!!!
