Has anyone here been able to install an overhead drop down monitor with dvd into an avalanche with the factory moon roof?  If so can you point me in the right direction to find out who and what they used. I'm looking at installing a complete dvd system with nav/dvd up front with 2 din unit ( not sure which one yet ) any help with that would be appreciated. also looking at maybe 1 sunvisor screen for my front passenger. I would rather go with overhead monitor then headrests for the price. Delphi makes a great 10" dropdown for only $500 or less.

Since it wasn't available in 03 with a moon/sunroof, and customers not liking that much, the 04 Av, offered the RPO. The 03 retro setup requires a headliner change to the 04 type.

I have a visor monitor (pass side) by vizualogic. I use an RGB adapter for DVD display on my (OEM retro) Nav screen. The separate player is in the DIN slot. I opted for headrest monitors. The look angle of the OEM unit is too much for the grandkids (IMO) with the overhead monitor. It was more than that RSE option, however the grandkids don't get the stiff necks like they did with the one in the Furd..

I have a 10" drop down screen in my '03 Av for the backseat passengers.  I have had it for almost 2 1/2 years now.  I will post pics soon to show you.

I said I was going to post these pics over a month ago.... SORRY!  Here they are...  I tried to get the moonroof into the pics as that is what the first post on this thread was asking about.

Lighting?  Well, my drop down monitor has 2 dome lights in the corners of the frame.  Lights are not as bright as factory, but bright enough.  (Not super bright like you put it for describing the factory dome)
