HEY THERE AVY OWNERS I HAVE A QUESTION FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH IN DASH SCREENS HOW DID YOU BYPASS THE PARKING BREAK WIRE? AND SECOND DOES THE STEERING WHEEL TRANSMISSION SHIFTER GET IN THE WAY OF THE SCREEN WHEN OPENING AND CLOSING?Huh?

just ground the wire that goes to the parking brake.

as long as its in drive, it won't hit.

THANK YOU FOR THE REPLIES. THE REASON I ASK IS BECAUSE MY COUSIN TOLD ME THEY PUT A SWITCH ON HIS AND HE HAS TO CYCLE THE SWITCH TWICE TO GET IT GOING.THE SCREEN IM GETTING IS THE PIONEER 5700DVD... chevy

As others posted, you can just ground that wire, or run it to a switch, which also runs the wire to ground. 

The advantage of using a switch is if you should be seen watching a movie while driving, with the flip of a switch, you can prove to the officer it's hooked up correctly. 

I ran my IVA-D900 this way, and it also keeps valets and mechanics from watching your deck.
