profit does make the capitalist world go round. i'm not begrudging a dealer his/ her profit. there's a significant margin built in to msrp and many pay it but for those that negotiate that net bottom line is the objective and i'm not referring to net cost....as you state a dealership will seldom if ever that take deal, unless there is a real need like a quota threshold.

36 mos - 3.9%
48 mos - 4.9%
60 mos - 5.9%
72 mos - 6.9%
keep in mind these are always subject to change (increase or decrease)... hope that helps

Very good explanation Holly.
If I might make a suggestion, you might want to add an explanation of something else to the first page of this post that tends to confuse a lot of people:
MSRP and the real "Invoice price" and how "National Advertising", "Regional Advertising" and "Holdback" come into play and all factor into the equation.
Also, a lot of people don't understand how supplier and gms pricing benefits the dealer and how the manufacturer brings it back to invoice price.

the problem is, they vary so much depending on the region and how those dealerships participate in the programs. wouldn't be appropriate to put something up that wouldn't be concrete regardless of the area. generally when discussing purchasing a vehicle at, say, $500 over invoice... the number i circled would be the number they would go off of. things like dealers participating in advertising, etc. is something they have to agree to... thus it IS their cost. they generally enter into a contract to pay that amount/percentage on each of their vehicles.
i do absolutely appretiate your input. for different regions, when folks have specific questions, i would be happy to address them as they come up. glad u agree this was something helpful to folks when buying a vehicle ....

Hello, I am looking at Leasing, I live in the 03038 Zip Code
The VIN is 3GN FK12 38 7G245630 (supplr $44071.77)
I have a supplier certificate and would like figures on a
39 month lease , W/15 k miles, dealer says all incentives
available to them have gone toward providing a 60% residual
bring payment to $660 per month, is this accurate?
Are there any other incentives that may apply?
Thank you

if it's a gm lease, that sounds about right.... we haven't done a lease ina couple of years... we haven't seen it be helpful for a customer in a LOOONNGGG time. very few people lease anymore cause they just haven't been as competitive as some of the purchasing programs out there. to each his own though... different individuals have different needs when buying a vehicle. good luck w/ your purchase

Thank you very much for the info!! I have one more question however. Does bonus cash apply only when you buy the vehicle (finance the entire amount) or is it also valid on a lease as well? The reason I ask is because in the image you attached there is a "BND" incentive which just says Bonus Cash program, meanwhile the "BCH" incentive says Purchase Bonus cash incentive. Do they both apply to a lease? Also, thanks to a kind member of this forum, I have a GMID cert which will get me supplier pricing and there is an additional incentive called Supplier Bonus Cash which is an additional $250 off. Am I entitled to all three if I lease the car? I priced it out on the GMSupplier website and below the supplier price it states current offers - $2,000 (which is the sum of the above incentives), however, I don't know if I should expect this on a lease as well. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again! This forum has been truly helpful! I will post pics ASAP!!

Maybe for your next topic, you could explain "flooring"? I have a hunch that most folks don't know how it works, or even what it is.
