Well now can't let all you Natrona people take all the credit.   Hehehe.   I just bought my 03 AV on Thrusday Dec 27 and so far I love it.   I live down here in Laramie (Albany County) I'll have to hand out some of those fliers.   My babysitter owns a 03 AV Z71 so I'll have to get her to join the club.

Welcome to the Club!!!   Welcome!

Be sure to hand out the flyer's and start growing the Wyoming Chapter!!  Be sure to take a look at the Colorado Chapter to your south. If you are up to a drive I am sure they would love to have you join in on their activities!

Hey all My name is Kyle Lamb and I just bought a 2003 Z71 and I love it.  I was looking for the sun visor decals to cover the warning sticker when I found the AV club.  I live in Evanston Uinta co and there are a lot of av's in town.  Let me know if you need anything from this corner of the state.

Hi Kyle!!

Welcome to the club!!!   Welcome!

I am from the SLC area and just wanted to invite you to join us at our GTG's any time you would like. We try to have GTG's at least once a month. Take a look at the Utah section of this site for details.

If you would like to send me your email address I will be sure to email you about upcoming events as well.

Be sure to print out some club flyers so you can tag the other AV's you see to let them know about the club.

Hope to meet you at one of our GTG's soon!!

hey you Wyoming folks are you going to make it to Laughlin at the end of Jan? If so let me know so we can meet up on the way. I live in Pocatello, Idaho and often get out to Rock Springs and Denver. So maybe next time I am on the way to Denver we could meet up in Cheyenne.
 Let me know

Yea - what Shane said! We'd love to see you in Laughlin - It's only about 80 degrees warmer in Laughlin then in Wyoming!

And Shane can get you there with no problems!

HELLO WYOMING! Later this year I am planning to take another trip to the southern region to do a little camping and maybe some hunting. Maybe I could join in a GTG with you guys if you plan something. A buddy and I were there last year and had a blast so we're going to bring a few more friends and make it a week long trip. We will probably be there during antelope season. I'm not sure that we'll be able to get tags beacause of the low number of issued out of state tags but we'll be there any ways. Well hope to see you guys in the future. And keep up your great tagging efforts.

Greetings!

Although I've been registered here for over 2 years I don't have many posts---I've mainly perused the multitude of posts to find what I'm looking for.

I'm now on my 3rd Avalanche.  My first was an '02, which, after a couple of years,  I traded in for an '05.  I loved them both but my '05 was beautiful.  I truly loved that truck and babied it---until 2 weeks ago when it got totalled by an errant driver.  I thought I would own that for many more years....

However, as of yesterday I'm the proud new owner of an '07 LT3.  My first mod will be the Amber's--but from researching it here it doesn't look like it'll be too easy.  Additionally, it will very soon get some new tires---the stock tires look anemic and won't last long on the country roads at all.

Looking forward to meeting some of you---who knows, if a GTG coincides with some time off from work that'll happen too!

Sorry to hear about your AV Cloudfish. Hope you and the other driver were not injured. Sounds like your new AV is a great ride. I hope you enjoy it and more importantly, have fun modding it!

We have several members from the Casper area check in and then we don't hear anything from them. I bet if you got out there and started tagging you could have a local chapter up and running in no time! I know it is a long drive but you are always welcome to join us here in Utah for any of our events. Remember that every active chapter in the club started with just one member.

Hope to meet you at a GTG someday!

Thanks, UtahAV!

Luckily there were no injuries.  My wife and son were with me and they are both alright.  The other driver hit my side at 45 - 50 mph and he was OK too.  Unfortunately, they had to use the Jaws O' Life to open my door---we could've climbed out easily but the firemen didn't want to let us---liability and all that.  It's a terrible sound hearing your door being ripped off--almost made me cry.   Cry

I've printed off a few "tags" to keep in my truck---just in case....

Did you have side impact air bags? I have them in my 02 and just wanted to know how they worked for you. That looks like a bad accident. I am glad you all walked away. Just another testament to the greatness of the Avalanche.

What a terrible day that must have been. Glad you were all OK. Would have expected much more damage with an impact of that speed. Got to love our AV's!

Shanes--oddly enough my '05 did not have side airbags (my '02 did) and the front airbags didn't deploy.  I thought about that, too--wondering if that would've helped.  I saw the accident coming and only had time to yell, "hang on!" and braced myself by hanging on to the steering wheel.  It helped we were all wearing seatbelts.  I am just so glad that it hit closest to me and not behind me where my son was sitting.  My wife was a little sore from the seatbelt---but luckily that was the extent of it.

Man that is simply horrible to look at. Sure are happy to hear the injuries were minor . I don't think I could have sat through them tearing off the door  Big laughter with tears. The more AVs I see involved in accidents the more I am convinced I will never drive anything else. Hope to see you at a gtg sometime with the Utah bunch.

Thanks Aussie,

My wife is a nurse at the hospital and I fly their EMS airplane---so between the two of us we both knew most of the firemen and the medics.  Trying to keep the mood light, I cracked jokes with them through my shattered window--asking them how bad it really was (I couldn't bring myself to look.)  Their replies weren't promising.  After getting out my son had the prescence of mind to take a couple of photos with his cell phone, because by that point I had to deal with the HP and whatnot.  I really miss that truck....
