Hey, i'm "Freebie's" girlfriend, I don't drive an Avalanche (unless I'm lucky and he lets me drive it that day  ) But I ride in it almost everyday and LOVE it!  I joined to see what was taking up so much of his time  , and to meet some new people as well!  I'll see whoever is there on Saturday at Damon's!

I have seen one AV in town here with Ambers but I have never seen anything about them on the website. We were supposed to go to the GTG in Dundee but I made a huge mistake. I asked my wife what we were doing on April 7th. THAT'S MY ANNIVERSARY. We may still go. I hope to help with a GTG at Silver Lake Sand Dunes or here in Ludington. We have the Ludington State Park which is one of the most visited parks in the state that might be of interest. Some people don't like to take their vehicles into the sand dunes as the sand gets into everything. Oh well I'm glad I'm part of the club though.

The next local GTG is Vermontville Maple Syrup Festival GTG on Saturday, April 28th.

Click the google calendar button at the bottom of my post (in my signature) for a calendar of all of the region III GTG's.

And I highly recommend checking out Music City Mayhem in Nashville TN.  There several Michigan members going.

Yea, thanks man,
i replaced the headlights with some silverstars as well, so it saved me a couple bucks on the DRL. haven't got a chance to see if those silvers are any brighter because we have been driving the ol' ladies new pontiac vibe...

I think I did things a little backwards......... Hi I'm new .......name is Jeff ....... have an 04 Z71 Charcoal (but usually covered in mud). I got the NP8 trans and 4"10 gears from the factory, 33" Kumho Road Ventures, tinted, also have the GM tent (and its awesome)no mods yet but I just ordered a Volant intake and plan on doing JBA headers and Borla cat back exhaust this summer. I'm also planning on buying HP Tuner. I haven't done the mods yet because I still had my factory warranty but that's over so its time to squeeze some more juice out of that 5.3.

I am originally from Los Angeles CA my wife and I moved here 7/06. I am newly married 10/21/06. We love to camp, off road, boat, meet new people, get drunk and pretty much have a good time.

I think I have met a few people on the GTG post but I wanted to make it official and say HI to all that I haven't met yet. I cant wait to meet some fellow AV enthusiasts and make some new friends.

I'm a pretty good wrench (mechanic) so don't hesitate to ask me for help I'm always willing to get dirty and bust a knuckle or two. I live in Wayland (near GR) and will be moving to Kentwood towards the end of the year.

I guess that's it will keep everyone updated on mods and info I find out about the AV and or any cruises that are coming.

I will be posting a poss GTG at Kool Chevrolet in June later tonight.

Freebie & the Bean were partners, TKE's Lady didn't make sense since there was no more TKE. I didn't name Freebie, another Michigan member did that. Freebie and the Bean was a hit movie.

   to all newer or older Michigan members that checked in. I read electric meters for 5 years in Oakland & Macomb Counties. I might have met a few of you years back or at least been in your yard. Two examples stick out, it only took two people to visit every home in Romeo or South Lyon in a day once every month.

freebie and the bean  was a movie about cops which starred james cann and alan arkin. it was a very funny movie. i remembered it cuz i was pregnant with my daughter in 1975. i believe it came out in early '75.

From Niles MI, its 5 min away from notre dame on the very bottom of the state..   Ive been member of many clubs, MIGPC.com  GSXR.com LS1.com Clubgp.com club3g.com .. i used to change cars every 6 months.  But this is my favorite car so far! look forward to keep this AV awhile! Also it a 2003 med. charc. color.. see mods in sig. Thanks for the welcome!

Hey all, just stumbled across this site looking for goodies for my new Avy, an 07 Black LTZ, loaded. Dealr said it was the most expensive vehicle on the lot xcept for a Vette when I bought it. I think it has every option available. Tokk me a month to learn how to use all the electronics! I'm shopping for a CatBack and Cold Air right now, all I've done so far is a nice set of mats, and a bug shield. I'm up in Fenton, south of Flint, and work in Romulus. Would be interested in some events in between the two. I'm also a Harley rider, Sledder, and a working on Fox Body Mustang right now too.

I'll try and swing by the deal in Flint Saturday, I'm putting a chrome swingarm on a buddy's V-Rod in the morning, as long as we don't have any problems I can stop by in Flint. Need to detail the AVY as well before I did a meet.

Good idea! most local newspapers will put a small club notice in their paper for free. I have used this in the past to draw some locals in. I nice little GTG in a public place with a notice in the paper before the GTG may do wonders!

Hi all,

I am new to the club.  I live in Vassar, near Frankenmuth and work in Auburn Hills.  Had a 02 for a few years and did some reading as a Guest but decided to join when we bought a 07.  It is a Silver Birch (SilverGhost) LT.  The only options are locking rear end and the 6 CD radio.  I went to the dealer to buy a Silverado but when they gave me $4,750 off from my dad’s GMS price I couldn't turn it down.  I LOVE the AV!  It is so versatile.  Friday I bought some trim molding that was 12 feet long and it fit inside with room to spare.  Would have never been able to do that with a Silverado!

Already added skid plates, a Flowmaster 50 and the K&N CAI on it.  I love the sound. 

My wife calls it my mid-life crisis! 

Look forward to attending some GTGs.

Enjoy SL!!! Great time. Husbands family has a cottage on Lake Michigan just 5-6 houses down from the dunes. Nothing better than waking up at 7am to the sounds of cycles jumping the dunes

since it looks like I'm not making it to Nationals in South Dakota I might go to LakePort state park on Lake Huron, no offroad I know of in that area but alot closer than Lake Michigan

The last time we went it was peaked and I now have a picture of my 02 with both the front and back suspension fully extended.   I had to crawl out the window because the door would not open.

I will take it a little easier on the new one and probably only hit the holes.

I'm not sure how many of the official MI stickers are left...  although I think I have one extra around here somewhere... and Big C had the other MI decals with the mountains (the unofficial official ones  )... not sure how many he had made though
