Big words confuse me..

I tried a search on my question but got nothing useful, so sorry if this is repeated somewhere....

I am planning on upgrading to SSBC brakes in the near future and want to know if stainless steel brake lines are worth putting on?? What difference do they really make? Isn't the "spongyness" of the brake feel already solved when the bigger rotors and calipers go on? What would these SS lines actually do or change?

Thanks guys!

I've sold at least 50 sets of Avalanche DOT approved, SS braided, kevlar/teflon brake lines here, and other places.  These are the same style as the Baja off-road racers use.

If you've lifted your Avy, you really need longer lines.  Yes, they do give you a less spongy feel as compared to the stock rubber lines.  If you installed upgraded rotors and calipers, you really should complete the job and install upgraded lines as well.

I called the dealer and they wanted $58/each for rubber replacement lines.

If you're still interested, I sell 3 and 5 line sets.  Check the "Group Buys, Member Arranged Section" on this site.

Thanks.

Ok so i read on another thread that i would need 5 lines to fully do my brake lines...but are they all the same size? or do i need different ones because my truck is lowered 2/4?? And about how much would it cost me to get them in red??

O and also another quick question...changing the stock brakes for the SSBC rotors and calipers in itself would change the feel of the pedal, right?

Thanks!

Mudd-

Are all SS lines of about the same quality?  The reason I ask  is I am really considering the CST 4" lift for a 2007.  The kit says it comes with SS brake lines, but I do not know if it comes with all or of what quality they are.  Also, can you post some pics of the different colors or at least blue?

P.S.   Nice avatar.  Feel free to post some pics of that as well.  HAHA.

Is Mudd still selling the brake lines? Tried e-mailing, but no reply since Monday (busy?). Need them by next weekend. Any other place to purchase these? All I have found are lines for 2500 and I need lines for 1500 (2002 Avalanche), I don't know if they are the same.

UPDATE as of 7/31/09: I still sell these kits.

Not been on the forums a lot lately, but you can e-mail me at: jreylek@hotmail.com

In the subject line put "20xx AVALANCHE BRAKE LINES".  I respond to every e-mail.
Sets are: 2002-2006, 5-line set and 2007-newer, 6-line sets.

Current CAFCNA pricing is: $215/shipped for a 5-line set and $240/shipped for 6-line set.  US/APO.
Same price for stock lengths and "lifted" lengths.  Slightly higher for Canada.  PayPal friendly.

Thanks,
