I replaced the black center console with one for the LTZ. Part number #15943546, bought it from Dal at Van Devere, for $101.78.
Part is described as a Bezel, and the exploded view of the console showed the standard black one, but I decided to go ahead and get it on faith, It is the correct part.

Old one just pops out, new one just pops in, Four clips. I have a slight fitment issue, the rear part of the new one doesn't quite fit right, I'll take care of that with a little sandpaper, it seems to be a hair too wide.

Replaced mine about two months ago. Purchased via Ebay. It's a snap (no pun intended) to install.

I have the two tone Dark and Titanium interior with brush aluminum inserts does anyone know where I can find one of these covers that will match my interior. I don't like the wood look it is over done in my opinion so I bought without.

I'm told you can't get it. My Z71 has the interior you're talking about. I was thinking of replacing the aluminum around the nav with the wood (I know, It's all fake) and getting the cover but not sure where to get the surround or how hard it would be to change.

Not even sure how to get the things to come out without breaking them or messing anything else up, plus the idea of driving around with holes in my dash/console doesn't sound real appealing. unless you'd want to send first! lol

Probably the piece around the radio and a console cover to start, maybe dash pieces too. How do you get them out?

The wood console that you replaced is the one that comes with the Tahoe LTZ not an Avalanche LTZ. I saw it in a Tahoe on the showroom floor. I have the LTZ with the wood trim and mine has the black console also. I like the wood one better and would like to change mine out too.

Not so. My LTZ has the black insert in the console, just as yours does. But I'd bet your LTZ also has painted mirror caps, door handles, non-chromed grill (except the surround), etc. Newer build (I guess within the past month or so) have chromed / brushed metal mirror caps (haven't got close enough to see which exactly yet), chrome grill, maybe chrome / brushed door handles (haven't seen to be certain for this either), and for sure- the new wood grain covered cupholder / storage area insert in the center console.

For those LT and Z71 owners... the P/N for the Brushed Aluminum Center Console is 25912890. This part is from the GMC Sierra "All Terrain" Package and should fit all GMC and Chevrolet 07 and up Trucks/SUVs. I just placed my order and I'll upload some pics once the swap is complete.

I have an 08 Z71, and the center console out of the GMC Sierra "Off Road" was one of the first mods I did. It makes the cab look SOOOOOOOO much better.
For those who are swapping them, it is very easy. Remove the p holder insert, then use both hands to lift up the back section of the console. this is the end farthest from the dash. then you will pull the entire part back away from the dash. Inserting the new console piece is the same in reverse. put the front down in first, then simply push the back end down.

I would be willing to sell mine. In addition to the black console, and the cupholders, I also have a cd / dvd and change organizer the fits into the cupholder section. (it was a GM dealer option)

just in case anyone is interested in a swap for my woodgrain pieces for your stainless steel. I have an 07 LT (3). It has the woodgrain on the 4 dash trim pieces and 4 door switch panels. Drivers door has the mirror flip switch. I only have 7k miles, so they are like new. However, my console does not have the cover shown in the above pics.
Anyone want to swap??

You could do that Hydro-Dip Painting on them...maybe a nice silver carbon fiber or even traditional carbon fiber...it's really a cool concept!!!

that's a good option. The silver carbon fiber might work. I'll look into it, thx for the link. Sorry to hear you're selling the SS, I know you put a lot of effort into the mods.

msdinsp, who and where did you order that console from? I call and ask for a Dal but they say they don't have no one but that name who work there. I really would like to get one of the console can you help me out and lead me in the right direction so I can get me one also? thanks
Most recent info I found doing a quick search TAKE NOTE: This was 8 months ago

just got off the phone with Van Devere - they are still offering cost + 10% to CAFCNA members.
I have purchased from them before (Dal) and the customer service at that time was very good, hopefully still is
should be cheaper than GM Parts Direct, but be sure to check on shipping costs...
I knew Dal was gone, but do not know who took his place. I'd call and just ask about the "CAFCNA" discount.
You may also want to check ebay as they are sometimes listed faily cheap. (depending on shipping)

Does anyone have an updated part number for the wood based center console piece? It's no longer showing up in the GM systems and my parts guy can't find it.
Thanks!

I do not have a part number but I do have the center console that I would be willing to let go for $50 shipped. Send me a PM if you are interested. I prefer the usefulness of the big tray rather than the smaller compartments. Also I covered my plastic/wood with vinyl inserts so it no longer matches.

I believe it is now 25799050...the lowest price I saw was $134 but I am sure there is a better one out there.

Thanks Suty, but I am not anticipating any problems with the sale. It was priced to go.

I have already replaced the black center console with the GMC Sierra aluminum console. I was thinking about getting the brushed aluminum center console arm rest trim to go with it. Has anyone done that? Looking for someone who has done it and what they thought.
Here is a website and picture of it….if you don’t know what I am explaining!

You can get the entire armrest from a late model H2 that has a leather armrest and a brushed aluminum trim. See the picture on the bottom of page 5 here:
http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?s=dbc1fbbed9a843ea9b3e1a3f1b968335&showtopic=103952&st=60
I think it runs $140 about for the entire lid.

adamjeeps,
Thanks!!! That is exactly what I was looking for. I checked out the link you posted....I scrolled back and read some of the prior post and i have a question
Did you replace the whole lid or just the center part with the brushed aluminum....is that part considered the "latch cover" part # 15134814? Thanks for the help

I think I read somewhere you could not buy the latch cover separately and you had to get the whole armrest. I think it was on page 6 of that link because I had the exact same question.

Okay, don't have a part number, but you can DEFINITELY get the latch assy without the whole armrest. I know I did. But that was 2+ yrs ago. Maybe GM changed their mind and decided that they could make 3X the money by making you buy more than you need.
