The butt-ometer states that there's a 40-50% improvement over where the truck was before the upgrade.  That would figure to be perhaps a 20-30% gain over OEM new brakes, in my opinion.

Matched with a set of rears (yes, I think I'll bite the bullet and order a set in a week or two), should be quite a notable improvement overall.

Pics and docs to follow.

We start with a picture of the stock setup.  Second image is the caliper mounting bolts, once removed.  Requires a T55 socket.

We follow this with the retaining bolts for the mounting bracket.  This bracket holds the caliper in place, and mounts the pads on sliders.  This bracket also keeps the rotor from coming off.  The second picture is a shot of the bracket, once removed.

A tip for removal of this bracket - turn the wheel to the opposite direction of the side you're working on.  This brings the rear of the brake assembly to you and makes it more accessible for this part.

I used an impact wrench as they were pretty darned tight.

The somewhat shiny pieces on the bracket are the sliders.  These are replaced.

Once the bracket is removed, the rotor comes straight off.  Do note that there may be retaining clips from assembly on one or two lugs.  I cut these off and discard them.

Second image is the caliper.  I was able to gently position it on the lower a-frame to support it without damaging the hose.

Now we have the new rotor, mounted.  Second image is the bracket with the new sliders.  These are to be lubed, in the Durastop kit there is a lube packet for this.

Important to note - there is a specific right and left rotor, not interchangeable.

Now we have the pads mounted in the bracket.  In my case, the OEM had two warning tabs on the outer pad.  The Durastops also did.  One on the inboard pad.

Next image is the caliper and bracket remounted.  Note that there are collapsible boots on the caliper retaining bolts - ensure these are not bunched up or torn.

And finally, a straight on shot of the completed install.

Note that all photos were taken by my 9 year old son while I worked Smiley

Doug, did you order these from a local dealer or use a source from the site?

BTW, nice job by your son on the install pics and your unbiased review with the  ever so proven butt-o-meter.  Thumbs up!
