What the heck...I just picked up some DuraStop pads at the local Chevy dealer where I have an account setup as a jobber and my cost on the pads was $77. The retail for $85. I checked the prices on the rotors and they were over $200. Is this dealer priced out of line or has the price more than doubled since this thread started?Huh Anyone know the part number for the Raybestos rotors for the rear on an '06 Z71?  Oh, the other thing that surprised me was that the rotor for one side is about $18 more than the other....

Thanks!

Had the Durastop Gold Ceramics on for a bit now and they definitely cause more dust than the AC Delco's they replaced with little to no difference in braking performance.  If I would do it again I would save your money, not worth it.

For the rears on a 2004 Z71, would I need that same part number of would it be the 56827 part number?

04' is one of the either or years, you'll have to measure your old rotors. the 56827 is 12.795 in diameter, the 580165 is 13.00. i know! not  alot of help. Beating

Is that something that a dealer would be able to verify by VIN# as well?

the consensus on here is that a "Z71" should have the "G80" locking diff,and therefore has the larger rotors.i sell auto parts to garages daily and more often than not i have to send both sets. the big difference between the two rotors is their thickness.
56827  =  12.795 dia.,overall ht. 3.35, rotor thk  .760
580165=  13.00   dia. overall ht  3.76, rotor thk. 1.20

Gotcha. I just went out and got the numbers stamped on the rotors and the numbers that are on there are 25757801 and there is also a 6E31RF16 on their as well, but I am assuming that the 257 number is the part number.

With my quick google search it looks like the 25757801 is the larger rotor. Can you confirm?

Thanks for the help. I ordered a set of pads and rotors and they should be here by this weekend. I ended up going with the Advanced Technology Rotors instead of the drilled and slotted. I have a hard time believing that there will be that much of a difference between the Advanced Technology and the slotted and drilled, especially for an additional $175 bucks or so for all 4 rotors.

Here's coupon codes for Rockauto 5% off....     http://www.retailmenot.com/view/rockauto.com

Ordered the fronts just now; thanks for the site, the savings *just about* offset the shipping.   Thumbs up!

260 and change was my total.

Glad it helped... When I got mine, I found ordering the fronts separate from the rears, in 2 orders was about $20 less for shipping than placing one large order...I thought it would be the other way around..
