2008 Nationals Attending List

With the announcement made that the 2008 Nationals will be held in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on July 19-26, 2008, many are able to firm up their plans for attending.  I will go ahead and start the Attending List now.  This list will help Hugz and I to know how to plan things as we go along.  Can we make to to 100 Avalanches with this one?  Let us know here.  Let us know if you will be attending the whole event, or what days you will be attending.

The Mrs & I are planning on being there for the week...    This is going to break me...  My wife + Pigeon Forge = $$$$$$$$$$$$ We made a trip up there last night just to save $8.00 off of a sweater she likes and for some presents.  Hmm, let me do the math.  Gas $50.00 for the round trip.  Total savings on her purchase vs ordering on-line w/free shipping = $36.00.  Something's wrong with this picture....

   Too hot in the summer for kids to be in school.  I know.  I see the effects of starting in early August.  It's TERRIBLE and the kids can't take the heat.

Are you kidding me?  Can't take the heat?  If they weren't in school, they'd be outside, in the heat, jumping on the trampoline, playing football, skateboarding, scootering, etc.  I have seen my boys come in the house absolutely dripping wet with sweat and look at me funny when I tell them to head up stairs and take a shower before sitting down on the furniture.

Nope.  Not kidding you.  I see them all the time.  Your kids are the exception to the rule now.  It's sad but true.  Check around and see all the kids passing out, dying, and being hospitalized due to the heat and activities in school in August and September.  I know that I used to be just like your kids, but they don't do that anymore.

Well yep..  It happens when you are planning things like this..  Lets just say FUN EVERY day from the arrival date to the departure date, 24 hours a day straight..  And yes I do mean it...  For those that have attended large GTGs in the past already know that to be true..
There will be things for EVERYONE..  Guys, Gals, Kids EVERYONE....  Start saving now and everything will BE GREAT....

My first big GTG was MCM.  It was a blast and is what got me started on a LOT of mods after it.   I meet many great people and look forward to meeting a lot more at the 2008 Nationals too!
