Pretty much everything everyone else mentioned. I never thought I'd use heated seats here in Cen Cal.

[beavercleavermode] Gee, Lady, nobody mentioned the side storage boxes? [/beavercleavermode]

The one I'm just getting around to doing, power tailgate and side storage locks. This is the first vehicle I've owned with a fob and remote locks. Those are cool. Gotta do the last 3 locks.

Locking side bins & box

They were on my list, should have put them right after heated seats because they get used

I agree, my wife still likes my old '94 S-10 ext cab but I've been driving an AV since June '01. The '94 was my first truck with air/tilt/cruise automatic, my previous two S-10s were pretty much base models. You start to take all the options for granted, my '02 was a base 4x4 1500, the '04 is loaded.

Not sure I mentioned cladding, I smile every time someone hits my truck with thier door.  Thumbs up!

Hi,

The entire visor on the 07 slides on the rod that holds them.  You just unclip the center end and then slide it out however far you need to.  You can even rotate them over to the side windows and slide them in/out to block the setting sun.   Cool!

I'm ashamed to say I never saw that!!! banghead I just went & checked it out, and lo and behold, there it is   Woohoo!
Thanks for the heads up WYDAH,  You rock!

The sliding visor is nice but the dual visor is nicer  love

Use the main one with slider on the side and drop secondary visor in front is handy. See what I mean about taking stuff for granted ? the newer trucks don't have dual visors.

First off what is 8 Track? I have 4 Track with the slide bar for the power take off wheel.

Secondly, all of those neat accessories list in my details below are in the category of  "I'm sorry I Can't buy your vehicle, it is so not loaded with all the bells and whistles plus the nice to haves!"

Now somewhere above someone mentioned the Caddys have heated steering wheels, oh yes they do and I want one as an aftermarket.  They also have air conditioned seat in the summer, and let me tell you the "Boys" get nice and frosty.  I want these too.  They also have the "Heated Seats" in the back for passengers, got to figure a way to put them into the AV.

OK I need to ask, since I have an antique AV, what are lane changing turn signals?  I may old but is that not what them things do all ready?  They signal your are changing direction, unless I have something nobody else has??   Huh

An 8 track tape player, there are still some around ?

I think lane changing turn signals they meant the extra ones in the mirrors.

Yep....one of the first things I noticed when I sat down in my '07....no dual visors... Sad    And, no damn windshield visor strip.  Boy, I'm still steamed at that "decontented" item.... Angry   It's get hot here in Texas and the sun is bright!  And, did I say it was hot?   Got an applied tint now, and I understand a GM made (or contracted for) replacement will be coming out after the first of the year.  Right now, you can't get a tinted visor strip replacment for an Avy with the rain-sensor wipers option.  But I'm told, there is a stock number just not in manufacturing yet

But have you used a 4 track player?  I couldn't afford the LearJet 8 Track Players.

If that is the case I have those!  But if it is something else I need those too!

The signal blinks 3 times when the lever is partially pressed, and 6 times when in tow/haul mode  Thumbs up!

The lane changing feature is really cool. Cool!   When changing lanes, all you do slightly press up or down (meaning for right or left) the turn signal stick for just a second.  Don't have to click it, just press for a second and the turn signals blink three times. If you are in tow/haul, they blink six times.  I change lanes just to show passengers.....but, I'm easily entertained too. Thumbs up!

Mine's too old to have that, I guess it would be handy. I'm not one to forget and leave my turn signal on for miles often but I have done it more than once. I always check my mirrors so the mirror signals remind me quick.

No worries,...  the '07+ DIC warns you with a message when you've left your turn signal on for more than 3/4? of a mile.   I've yet to try that one out.   Someone will have to confirm it.

I don't see a need for that option on my DIC since the mirrors have signals. Constantly moving my eyes and checking mirrors is good driving habit I learned over 30 years ago.

Notice I didn't mention the DVD ? Over 3 1/2 years and I still haven't checked to see if it works.

So did my 03 and so does my 05.   I don't see the big deal about it... every vehicle I've owned has had the lane change feature, just lift up or down lightly on the turn signal and it blinks then release, it doesn't lock into place unless you life up or push down all the way.

I don't know

Auto headlights and DRLs are a great safety feature.

I'd like to see auto running lights, there are so many silver/grey and white cars it's difficult to see them from behind when it's raining/snowing on the interstate when the sky is gray.

That is why headlights are required in many states in those conditions to have the running lights come on.

Also on my 08 the headlights and running lights come on when the rainsense wipers are active.
