An 8 track tape player, there are still some around ?

I think lane changing turn signals they meant the extra ones in the mirrors.

I actually threw out my last 8-track player and tapes when I was cleaning out my basement earlier this year. Distinctly remember choosing (wrongly) the 8-track format for my brand new, 427, '64 Ford. I'm so old I ought to be dead!

I think I "miss" that, but I'm not sure. Was very impressed with the autoride with the 20" Bridgestones on the multiple demos I drove. Guess I'll never really know for sure. But I am happy with the feel of the Z71 that I opted for for other reasons.

That is why headlights are required in many states in those conditions to have the running lights come on.

Also on my 08 the headlights and running lights come on when the rainsense wipers are active.

If the headlights come on the running lights do to but in auto at times just drls are on so the running lights aren't.

Oh, and I think I just found something else that I'm not going to be able to live without:

4 Nav Cameras!!

You know, we can get 20 of these for the price of 14.  Anyone for a group buy?

Ok I hate to beat a dead horse but the blinker repeat is an awesome feature, when ever I ride in my wifes truck(06 Envoy Denali) I find myself tapping the signal to change lanes and getting mad cause there's no 3 peat.   banghead  But besides that I can't live without the sunroof, xm, heated seats and reverse warning.  I've got a 07 LT3, and I'm already thinking of upgrading in 09 (after I come back from Afganistan) to a new LTZ, maxed out with NAV and backup monitor.

didn't read all of the previous threads so sorry if this is a repeat:

The other morning before work i go out and my windsield is completely iced over.
Normally it's get out and scrape time.
Not with the Avy!
Push one button, wait about 20 seconds for the windshield washer fluid to super heat and then automatically bring on the squirters and blades. Short delay and a second series.
I drive off with a spotless ice free windshield in a truck that was pre-warmed from inside my house.
Life is tough I need a hug

This truck has every option (cept chrome tow hooks) and I didn't think I'd need most of them, but have to admit they're all pretty cool once you use them Thumbs up!

Just remember next time you get a new vehicle: you only live once and tomorrow ain't guaranteed.

Alot of people have noticed when they forgot to latch the last panel and slammed the tailgate home  banghead

Not me but from what I've heard you can't buy the ends, it costs $$$ for the entire unit.

You are correct about the $$ for the covers.  Don't forget to flip your glowing handles to the locked position before slamming the tailgate.

New Tread possibility.........Speaking of bed covers.....I wonder if the administrators could start a new thread subject and possible poll discussing bed covers......problems?  leaks?  repairs? replacement?   cleaning?  gutter cleaning?......whatever!

I know my '02 was tight as a tick for a few years, but when I sold it 5 years later it leaked like a sieve even with routine gasket cleaning

My Now-can't-live-without additions are

1)  back up camera (great if you tow stuff to see the initial hook up part of the deal)
2)  In-car phone and Onstar.  My last car (GM) didn't have it.  Now I wish that it had a full bluetooth capability like a lot of the other upscale cars (including some GM products) had.
3)  Lockable side storage space for "stuff"

Other things that I WISH I had that I saw in other cars when I was deciding what to get:

1)  Ford makes heated AND cooled seats.  Great for those of us in the warmer weather climates....maybe GM will follow suite someday.
Logged

Mods:  Hard Mounted Valentine Radar, Magnaflow exhaust, Injen CAI, Chrome bowties,
LED sails and all around cladding thanks to Southern Comfort, looking for more mods.....daily.

Silly Things you never thought you needed and now can't live without  Huh
Here are a few nobody has mentioned, we take simple things for granted.

Electric starter (can you imagine the old days of a hand crank)

Electric lights (oil lamps with a reflective mirror were an innovation)

Brakes  Shocked  (some early cars didn't have any)

Seatbelts (common sense had to be forced on us by legislation)

oh boy where do I start.

Heated seats
back up camera
power leather seats
fold in mirrors
remote start with heater or ac
Onstar linked with verizon so I don't have to pay onstars cost of calls
Onstar
XM radio
navigator
push button four wheel drive ( never knew how to use the old kind )
temp read in mirror
adjustable floor pedals
flex fuel
fog lights ( had to use them coming out of Laughlin)
rear heaters ( I had to ride in the back once)
I guess as I use some of the other features mine has I will most likely fall in love with them too and be unable to live without them but the main things I love about the AV and could not live without are.........
overall looks
and fantastic comfortable ride
handeling
and feeling safe while on the road

I agree with most all the items mentioned, but was surprised not to see this one:

Automatic Temperature Control - set it and forget it

I first had this on a 1991 Sterling 827SL (one of the finest cars I've ever owned, btw), and it was one of those "I have to have this on every car I buy from here on out.

Others for me:

Sunroof - love having the sun shine in
Leather - again, the Sterling was the first here; could never go back
Heated Seats - not so much for me, but my wife can't live without them - another Sterling first
Heated Mirrors - we live in New England, 'nuff said
Rack-and-pinion steering - I know, sounds lame, but you really do get better feel and feedback with it
Variable-assist steering - again, sounds lame, but when it's done right, it just makes driving easier (our Sterling was once again the first with this)

All I can think of for now...

Wow, that is an expensive remote start you have there, atleast it's not as expensive as Honey, go start the truck and scrape the windows.  Big laughter with tears Alot safer to.
After all you no doubt spend much more then $150 a month on Junior compared to once on heated washers.
