I have a 2007 Avi with Navigation and Bose.  I'm adding a subwoofer and Amp to my stock system.  Will this adapter work with the Navigation and Bose and allow me to run the new Amp with all other factory otions?  Has anyone used the new AOEM-GM1416?

I haven't used one, but PAC lists it as being compatible with the '07 Avy.

is this adapter mandatory to run an amp/sub combo?  or only if you still use the factory amp/sub?  i saw you added a 10" and an amp under the seat.  will you post more pics?  i want to see how the subthump box lines up with the seats closed and with the floor.   how much is the amp section recessed into the box?  and does the seat (when closed) sit flush with the walls surrounding the amp.  i ask cuz i go in a ton of sand and dust and just want a better than normal "seal" around all the electronics.

I am also wondering if  this adapter is mandatory to run an amp/sub combo? I don't have the premium system with an amp. It says it works for 2007 and up avalanche but doesn't have an alternative if you don't have a premium stereo.

Got my answer for half of this. Pac confirms this is compatible.

I have a PAC unit for the GM with Bose and it's worked fine...course I have an '03...I have a LockPik for the iPod and it now works too thanks to OBB, but I will attest that the PAC unit worked for MY system...I do have again, the Bose and used the PAC unit to make a powered Bazooka and slave thump away!

I can't confirm this yet. I bought this adapter as well, just piecing together my amps, wiring kits and speakers at the moment.

I'm guessing you mean that the ball mount is stuck inside the receiver?
Your description is rather lacking.
If my guess is right, soak the receiver tube from both ends with something like PB Blaster or other penetrating lube, and hammer at the ball mount SIDEWAYS a bit, not foreward and aft, break the grip of the rust.

actually ya dont need it if ya have some wiring skills and patience.....I just finished wiring my 07 ....splicing rcas on factory signal from bose  amp.....then running said rcas to a crossover eq then to my amp ...and off to my doors and subs.......time consuming yes....but ohhh soo good.....and best part ....I retained my factory look to all those looking from outside in.....

Do you have any specific info on this bandt0913. I am thinking of doing the same thing as i am under-satisfied with the Bose system and want to add an aftermarket amp to the existing speaker setup. I saw where azdave did this in a different year model and was wondering if youhave pics or wire colors. You wrote that you spliced rcas from the bose amp.. why not befor ethe bose amp to eliminate this piece?
