The paint will stick to the rear cladding, the chevy dealer in my home town has done around 5 avalanches and has never had a problem. They sand the plastic smooth and apply an additive to the paint to help it bond to the plastic, it's no different than painting a plastic bumper.

On another note, can someone tell me exactly how much higher the rails on the topper are in relation to the cab height?

The leading edge of the Snugtop sits about 3.5 " above the cab height

Thanks for the info, don't think it would fit in my garage, but man they look good, and would be great for added storage. If you don't mind how much did it set ya back?

You guys don't have to lose the access for the side bins. Here is the MOD. I actually like it better because mine av is too tall to get down inside anyway.

Very slick... I like this mod... Thanks for sharing!  Thumbs up!

I have had mine for a couple years now and really like it.  It is the older model.  Yes, it changes the look of the Av, but works well for me when I travel for work, etc.   It also has a light inside the back.  I do get some leakage around the rear window...not sealed well.  That needs to be completely redone.

To deal with some of the side bin issues I bought Diamond Pete's home-made bedslide.  Eventually I think I would like to add the side door mod.
