Summit Racing, Tallmadge OH, at exit 29 off I76

Link to event page

FRS radios on channel 8

The plan is to meet off site and cruise in together.

We will meet at Walmart off I76 at exit 31 at 8:30.
Walmart is about 1/2 mile north of I76 at the second or third light.
250 Tallmadge Road, Kent, OH 44240, (330) 673-3142
MAP HERE

You do not have to meet us at Walmart.
You may arrive at Summit when you want, but the later you arrive, the less chance you have of parking with the group.
Arriving before 10:00 should be OK.
With the weather forecast, arriving even later and finding a parking spot should not be a problem.  Roll Eyes
I'll have the FRS on channel 8, if you are arriving later just holler.

There are food vendors at Summit.
But if you are thrifty (or cheap like me) you may want to pack a lunch and cooler.
No grilling is allowed at Summit and no alcohol.

Rock crawl has been cancelled by Summit due to weather.
Go to the fairgrounds to watch the rock crawl?
You could catch the shuttle bus and go whenever, or we could cruise over in our Avs?
Parking at the fairgrounds is in a field - could be messy.

4:00 Cruise to get dinner at Plaza Maya

Dinner reservations are made for Plaza Maya.
15 people at 4:30.
I'll confirm dinner commitments while we are at Summit.
I can adjust the head count and/or time if necessary.

There is a good chance we will be rained on some of the day Saturday.
Of course we can find shelter in the vendors tents or in the store or under my little canopy.
But if we find that the weather is too bad to stay all day, I have an additional potential stop.

http://www.i76antiquemall.com/

Just an idea.
Something else to do if we want to get out of the rain.

Actually yes.
We did that in 2006 and had 8 trucks in my back yard.
I wasn't planning to try it again, but we'll see.

Hope to make this one again this year, but we have been talking about a road trip out west in September, so we'll have to see how the dates match up (or don't match up).

Yes, we will be in TruckFest.
In years past we parked together at Summit Racing and spent some time there checking out the show.

Now they have spectators park at the fairgrounds and get a free ride on the shuttle van/bus to Summit.
This allows for more show truck parking, meaning more parking for us.

Also, the rock crawl is now at the fairgrounds.
We could plan to take a cruise from Summit to the fairgrounds to see that if enough people are interested.

I really didn't expect anyone from Michigan would make the trip.
But you are all very much welcome.  Thumbs up!

We be maybes too... chevy

 Woohoo! Woohoo!
That's a two woohoo for you.
Now you have to come.
