Yup, gas prices suk  banghead

but they are what they are...or will be...we are going no matter, but we are reconsidering going East to Reno to "hook" up with the Nevada gang...

If we take I-5 North, it's 113 miles shorter in total distance...and overall the road conditions (traffic flow etc) should be better and yeild overall better MPG...

What are your thoughts Ro?

Yep there is nothing we can really do to influence gas prices.  Let's just have fun getting where we're going on and talk about it over beer or wine or both   Big laughter with tears

I'm definitely in for the shorter route and of course would be more than happy to hook up with the Nevada gang   Thumbs up!

Likely then we will "meet you" at the junction of I-5 and the 505...then continue I-5 all the way to Highway 97 at Weed and take 97 into Klamath Falls...from where we "meet"...drive time is about 4 1/2 hours or less

that would mean going west at Tonapah so we are going to catch it up around Reno and go up that way. I did three different routes and the 95 is the shortest by 80 miles so going that way. It is a bit slower if there is traffic and usually at night it is pretty clear.

Hey Cliff about what time should we meet you at I5 and 505.  By Google's estimation it takes about an hour to get there from our place.
