I have a 2500 Avalanche on order and will use a certificate if someone can set me up.
As soon as I get one I will post here so as not to waist any.

Thanks to AViD, I got my certificate. I'm one happy camper.

Should any one else have or need certificates feel free to use this thread.

I am going to pull the trigger this weekend... I would love to have the added savings of a certificate. If you have one available I will be your best friend :)

Email me at mbzslk230@aol.com or Sovren@yahoo.com.

THANKS!!!

I am also going to buy a new toy(Avalanche) in the next couple of weeks. If anyone has a spare certificate it would go to good use.....Thanks in Advance :B:

Please email me at myles@triumphcs.com

A GM Vehicle Savings Certificate is a sales promotion tool distributed to GM employees to sell more GM vehicles. It allows the holder to purchase or lease a new GM vehicle at a fixed discount price which GM normally only gives to our suppliers. No negotiation over price is required. I currently have 4 certificates that are good until 3/31/2004. The first 4 people who are ready to make a purchase and email me with their complete names and addresses will get them in the mail. I will post again when I am out.

805,
Just sent message and email.

Thanks to everyone on the forum for the great information as this has really helped me in my decision to getting a AV.

805Engineer - Thanks very much! Email sent today for a certificate(1244pmCST)! I have a Z71 sitting in my driveway on a 24 test drive right now, will be buying one as soon as I receive the certificate, we really like this truck! Great forum, too!

BETTER HURRY..........I only have two left! Here is something I wrote up to help you understand a little about this program:

Good luck! With this certificate your price is set on the Avalanche, there is no bargaining! It will more than likely save you $500 or more above the best deal that you could make on your own. You are still eligible for any and all rebates. The best thing that you can do is go to the dealer that will give you the most money for your trade. If you do not have a trade, then it does not matter what dealer you go to, just go to the one that you think may have the best service. Don?t be afraid to tell them that is what you are looking for!
I used to trade cars every six months because I was buying ?company cars? known as PEP cars. They had been driven by executives for around four months and usually had 4500 miles or less. I could buy them at my employee discount PLUS I would get an additional percent off for them being PEP cars. I would drive them for six months and trade them in for at least what I had in them! I would always tell the dealer what I was doing. I would say I am just looking for the best trade-in I can get because GM sets the price that I pay. The same is true with this certificate, you are paying the price that GM gives to its suppliers and the dealer has nothing to do with this! Remember that any dealer can and will trade to get the Avalanche that you want from another dealer if it is not on his lot. Go where you will get the best trade and service.

GOOD LUCK! BUTCH

WOW! I just readded the price of the Avalanche I ordered. My dealer said they would give me invoice $35,450.00 less a $500 dealer incentive that he would split with me and the $3,500 cash back offer. I would pay $31,450.00 plus tax....... but with the supplier pricing it came down to 29,007.53 after the 3500 cash back offer. This is exactly 10K off the MSRP sticker for the truck. You guys are truly saints, with the money I am going to be saving, can you say MOD TIME! >:D

If you have ordered the Avalanche make sure that it is paid for before March 31! After that the Certificates are no good.

Question for y'all.....do these certificates get you the GMS pricing, or the supplier pricing? I am holding the invoice on the AV I am interested in, and the GMS price is much better...but reading the gminthedriveway.com site and in talking to my dealer, they say these certificates only get me the supplier pricing, which is actually slightly higher than invoice. Any clarification/documentation would be appreciated!! Thanks.

They are for SUPPLIER PRICING and that is higher than GMS pricing. I do not know how close it is to invoice, I do know there is no negotiating for the price as it is set by GM, not the dealer. I was told by the ones who I sent my last certificates to that they saved $500 to $1200 more than they could have bought it for without the Certificate. Remember, all rebates are still good!

By the way, all of my certificates are now gone. They were given out to members:

Dave555

AbsolutZ71

grwhite038

mylesb2000

Now you guys show us what you bought when you use them! Let us know what kind of a deal that you got!

Butch

Just curious if there are any certificates left out there? I dragged my feet long enough and just now joined the forum.

Like everyone else before me, I am looking for a certificate that someone might be able to send to me. I have made up my mind and I am definitely buying a new Avalanche. I have to wait for a couple more weeks before I can purchase though. I am closing on a new house on the 27th of this month. Right after I close, I am going to pay cash for an Avalanche (I am only waiting until I close on the house satisfy the lender!). If anyone has a certificate, or information on someone that may, please let me know. I would really appreciate any help that I could get. Thanks again!!

DITTO! If anyone has the certificate left over that would be great.

I've finally talked my husband into buying the Avalanche and would like to save money in any way possible.

Thanks! :B:

I am also in need of a certificate. I am going to purchase in the next couple of weeks and would very much appreciate the help.

Thanks for all of the info so far!

Hello lady and gents, I too am in the process of getting an avalanche and would lovvvvvvvvvvvvve to save a little $, if there are anymore certs out there ;D

In December and January I spent weeks negotiating with a dealer for just the Z66 ('04) that I wanted. Folks on this board really helped with their advice. I had them at 28K on the nose (34.2 MSRP as I recall), no "document fee" etc...just 28k. It had taken swearing, insults, walking out, arm waving, and liberal use of the word 'NO' to get to that point. Then I got an "in the drive" certificate, walked in, and purchased the truck for 27.640.

There are folks who say you can get the same or better deal by bargaining yourself. That could be true, but based on my experience, my research with CarsDirect and Kelly Blue Book, as well as watching ads from around the country, it's the best no-haggle deal you'll ever find.
