Title: Photo Album Storage
Post by: ygmn on 03/18/18 12:54 PM
Would you be interested in paying for online photo storage using your current account, in our gallery software?

Currently supporting member get 50000 kb storage
Regular members get up to 10000kb storage.

What is 1gb of storage worth to you for the year?
Do you need 2GB or more?

Let us know what you would like for storage and what you would pay for this separate feature of the club.

Monies raised would be used to pay the server bill.

And please I would like to thank our annoymous Webmaster who does a superb job so far.

I think things are going great and looking good as well.

Kudos to the Webmaster.  It is looking great.  I don't know if I would pay more for storage as I have an album in my Google drive that I make public and share.  I also have a few terabytes of storage on my OneDrive account.

I got the same Flash message as MS03, and I could only upload one pic at a time.  Otherwise it was pretty straight forward.

There's a separate Flash Player install for Firefox, IE and Chrome, so be sure you've installed the latest for the specific browser you use. Firefox also likes to disable Flash on sites forcing the user to enable it manually. In Firefox, you may see a red colored "lego block" looking icon in the web address bar. Click that and choose "Allow".

I went back to adobe and found one for firefox and loaded it, but I think you are right firefox does not seem to allow any adobe products.

I remember it disabling it because it was a security risk, I'll review my security setting.

It's no big issue I'll switch back to IE when I need it.

I did try shockwave flash plugin and I lost the error, however, the browse button did not come up, I suspect its a java script that firefox won't let run.

I'll try mobile sometimes this week.

Don't worry... it's not you. It doesn't appear to work in Firefox at all. IE "works" but very buggy. For now, I recommend using the simple upload method.

The next major release of the gallery's software (which is currently in beta) will do away with Flash uploading and instead offer a modern HTML5 based method.

I read all those complaints about other photo hosting services and only 2 people have used our GALLERY to store pics.

IS the gallery not needed?

Tis free to all members
Supporting get 50MB
Premium get 100MB.

Here's the danger of using 3rd party hosting.... so many images on the forums look like this  :E:

I like the gallery it makes it easier to post pictures and other things I can send links to other members.

The 2mb limit for a picture is kinda low since the lowest I can get my smartphone pictures is about  1-2 MB.

The 100MB.limit is low also which is about 50 pictures and I would have to delete pictures before adding more.

Now can there be a button created with the location and img tag included so all I would have to do is view the picture and click the button and paste in a post?
That would make posting pictures a breeze..

As far as the 3 third host, that is the risk you run when you post pictures anywhere on the internet, they may shut down or want to charge you.
Once you upload it you no longer own it.
