I dealt with Peterson Chevrolet in Meridian... they were fair. I complained about a DRL out and the passenger washer nozzle being clogged (they must have missed it on their 200 point Chevy Certified Used checklist) and was told about the 'Bumper to Bumper' warranty that any dealer would honor. When I returned to California, my local dealer told me that those items were not covered under the 'limited' Chevy Certified Used 'Bumper to Bumper' warranty.  ???  But I LOVE the truck!

Sorry to hear that.

2011 LT w/ 136K......previous owner was a company who used it for their salesman..... paid $14K...... only issue I could find or have found is front end was out of alignment..... it did have a tear in seat and arm rest but they had already had an upholstery shop repair...... not concerned with miles as a few friends that have older models (07 & 09) have way more miles with little issue. I did have a crack back glass trim, but I fixed that easy with some black rtv and a little elbow grease to make it undetectable..... now I have a weird, light noise intermittently that sounds like a brake pad rubbing lightly when under light throttle while turning on a grade... put new EHT pads on rear and will go ahead and replace them on the front.....I absolutely love my AV.... if they make a newer model as I hear they may come back, I WILL have a new one.

Picked up my 2009 LTZ in Feb 2016 with 69,000 miles for $24k. It has every.. single.. option.. available that year, no joke, the previous owner literally checked every single box... except the tow package  :E: (no trailer brake or aux trans cooler, crap 3.08 gears with the 5.3). It has the power folding running boards, The nav with the rear seat entertainment system, rain sensing wipers, Z55 suspension, etc... If I were ever asked to buy another one, I would have to think long and hard about it because I love my truck but there are little things that could have been better. The Bose surround sound? Garbage... The Nav system? Probably good in 2009 but in todays age of Google Maps? Garbage... The 5.3? love it... in a lighter vehicle, but in a 6000lb SUV? It feels like an elephant trying to run a marathon. These trucks needed the 6.2 as an option. If I could go back to February 2016, I would pay the money and get a Ram 2500 Laramie Cummins optioned to the brim, but that's the reason why I settled for the Avalanche; the price was right and it had the bells and whistles AND I am a die-hard GM fan.

07 Ltz  $15.5k a little over a month ago. To be honest i never really cared for Avalanches, but something about this one caught my eye. Im not a big fan of the navigation in it, its just really dated. i dont know if the newer gm nav disk is any better but in a world of iphones, its not worth the $180 for it.

I paid $8,500 for my 2007 LT3 package with aftermarket 20" rims/DVD/NAV

Then a week later spent ~$1,200 to delete the AFM and put a upgraded cam in it during the process.

Hi, just bought a 2007 Avalanche LT for $1500 with 160k miles, and with a hard knocking engine and a transmission that only works in first and reverse, and 4WD doesn't work (bad TCCM).

I dumped Marvel Mystery Oil and ran the engine for about 30 minutes, now it sounds more like a diesel on start up but the engine quiets down after it warms up, so I'll either replace the lifters or try soaking them in B12 Engine Cleaner over night. It peels out easy in the first gear that's available. Wondering if the bad TCCM (transfer case control module) would put the transmission in something other than limp mode (i.e. first gear). Data communication error in the TCCM, all wires trace out fine, no shorts.

Nice black leather interior with no tears, not even wear marks on the seats. A couple dents, but everything else looks to be in good condition.

Ordered a TCCM, so hopefully I don't need a transmission as well, but those aren't too expensive.

I've been looking for a GM truck since I sold my 2008 Sierra 1500 with the 5.3L LMG (AFM removed completely), that thing was a beast!
Anyways, looking forward to driving this Avalanche. I've never seen one up close, and I really like the mid-gate. I'm excited to get her on the road, and I think her name shall be Avery the Avalanche.

Good luck on the lifters being your issue.  Not a minimal amount of work considering you have to pull the heads to get to the lifters.

A little less than ten cents a mile (164,000 miles on it).  2011 LTZ Everything for that year.

State just reinforced the distracted driving law.  So more reclining the drivers seat, putting the headphones on, and watching a movie.

Hello all, Currently zero'ing in on my first Avalanche. I can say there is almost no pricing sense between the 07, 08, & 09's. I have looked at several in this range. Saw a 07 white LT (LT3) for $14K 75,000 (clean inside rusty below); an 09 orange 160000 LT(3) $14500, and 08 sky blue 126000 $13500, just to name a few. By and large the 09's seem to be consistently commanding more money, but they are harder to find. Almost every Avalanche I see listed in that date range seems to be priced at $12/$13k regardless of mileage or package.  I expanded my search mileage in Cargurus and last week found an 11 Steel Green LT (1) with 110000 for $15K. IN regards to the 11, its been on the back lot of a Honda Dealership for 110 days. She was flawless below, and a pigsty in the cabin. I think the 11 can be had for $11500....That would be good score.

I'd say grab the '11 and clean it up. The big difference between the 07, 08 is they have the AFM and possible problems and the 09 and up don't have it. 09 and up also have the 6-speed tranny.

Note that Consumer Reports puts the 2011 as a "used car to avoid".  That did not stop me.  But I gave her a pretty thorough inspection and had them fix a few things.  The climate controls on the 2011s I looked at were messed up.  One did not blow cold.  The one I bought did not blow at all until they replaced the blower.

Wow, for all my research and frankly hours and hours of it right here on this forum, I had no idea the 11's were a CR car to avoid. Going to have to look that up. Thank you for the heads up.. As rust is the great equalizer in the Northeast, the 11 LT1 with clean sides and under carriage was the front runner, followed by an 07 LT 3 with  75k. The 07 though has a rusted rear fender area and the undercarriage needs undercoating, but inside is hospital clean. Having driven so many over the past 3 weeks, I can say the 6 speed tranny shifts noticeably better.

http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2011/02/consumer-reports-names-chevrolet-avalanche-as-a-top-pick-for-2011.html (This is a link to the 2011 CR Report) I did find another CR article from 2017 that listed several Chevy's to avoid buying used, the Avalanche was not one of them. The 2011 Silverado was, but Avalanche  Tahoe and Yukon do not appear for the 2011 model year. Here is the link for the CR cars to avoid from Feb. 2017. https://www.consumerreports.org/used-cars/used-cars-to-avoid-buying/

I am happy you caused me to look, because up until I found the 11 a few days ago, I didn't do any research on that model year.
