Hey yall, I think I found the answer. I was in O'rielly auto parts and ran across a product made by Bondo, called bumper black. Its a spray on black for plastic and flexible parts. It dries fast goes on easy. You might want to mask some areas to protect them. I sprayed may front air dam under the front bumper first to see how it looked and applied. I was blown away, so I did the side steps, Oh my God, then the rear bumper covers, looking good. Then the big what you call it that makes a avanache an avalanche. Any way the truck looks like new. One can did the whole truck, although I could use a little touch up.

Is your AV a WBH or Cladded?  I'm guessing that a Cladded may take more than one can, but glad to know there's another product that will "fix" the faded plastic!

He mentioned "rear bumper cover" so I'm guessing cladded.

If it holds up I might try it in the spring when I can be certain of a warm/dry/clean surface.

Here are some past threads on this subject that may help.

1. Bondo Restore Black on upper cladding and cargo covers

2. Another cladding treatment I am gonna test

3. Painted Cladding & RR

There are more, just use Bondo in the search.

Two words.
Refinish Restorer

Well it's the best for cladding.  I use it on my plastic too.
